Trustees for Public Cemetery appointed.—(H.C. 128.)

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section fifty-five of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, Sir Michael Myers, the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

The Akaroa Borough Council

to be trustees of the Akaroa Public Cemetery as described in the Schedule hereto, and to have the control and management of the said cemetery.

SCHEDULE.

AKAROA PUBLIC CEMETERY.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 3 roods 12 perches, more or less, and being Reserves numbered 117 and 2547, situated in Block VIII, Akaroa Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north by Beach Road; towards the east by Reserve 88, 371·2, 500·4, and 150·3 links; towards the south by the abutment of a public road, and by Reserves 116 and 2421, 718·7 links; towards the west by Reserve 2546, 225·6, and 678·5 links, and again towards the north-west by a public road 141·6 and 64·0 links, the same as is more particularly delineated on the plan marked 191–2–654, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Health, Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, this 11th day of April, 1935.

Exempting Crown Lands from certain Provisions of the Mining Act, 1926.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section twenty of the Mining Act, 1926, and of every other power and authority enabling me in this behalf, I, Sir Michael Myers, Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby exempt the Crown lands particularly described in the Second Schedule hereto from the provisions of those sections of the Mining Act, 1926, mentioned in the First Schedule hereto, and do also hereby declare that such exemption shall take effect from the date of the publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

THE MINING ACT, 1926.

Sections 144 to 152 (both inclusive).

SECOND SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Westland Land District, containing 3 acres, more or less, being Sections 1 to 12, Town of Weld, Block IX, Bruce Bay Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked N. 6/4/22, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Mines, Wellington, and thereon edged red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, this 9th day of April, 1935.

Charles William Hetet, of Waitete Valley, Te Kuiti,

to be officers for the purposes of Part II of the first-mentioned Act in respect of the Auckland Acclimatization District.
