Commissioner of the Supreme Court appointed.

NOTICE.

OWEN MAYNARD FLETCHER, Esquire, of 142 Adelaide Street, Brisbane, a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland, has this day been appointed by the Right Honourable Sir Michael Myers, K.C.M.G., Chief Justice of New Zealand, a Commissioner of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in Queensland under the 47th section of the Judicature Act, 1908, for the purpose of administering and taking all such oaths, affidavits, and affirmations as in the said section mentioned.

Classification of Portion of Wellington-Napier via Wairarapa Main Highway.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations, 1932, I, Joseph Gordon Coates, Minister of Transport, do hereby approve of the Main Highways Board’s proposed classification of the road described in the Schedule hereto and situated in the Hutt County.

SCHEDULE.

ROAD classified in Class Three: Available for the use thereon of any heavy motor-vehicle (other than a multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle) which, with the load it is carrying, weighs not more than 6½ tons, or any multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle which, with the load it is carrying, weighs not more than 10 tons:—

Wellington-Napier via Wairarapa Main Highway No. 15 (all that portion within Hutt County from the northern boundary of the Borough of Upper Hutt to its junction with Upper Hutt – Waikanae Main Highway No. 371).

Classification of Roads in Matakoao County.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations, 1932, I, Joseph Gordon Coates, Minister of Transport, do hereby approve of the Main Highways Board’s proposed classification of the roads described in the Schedule hereto and situated in Matakoao County.

SCHEDULE.

MATAKAOA COUNTY.

ROADS classified in Class Three: Available for the use thereon of any heavy motor-vehicle (other than a multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle) which, with the load it is carrying, weighs not more than 6½ tons, or any multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle which, with the load it is carrying, weighs not more than 10 tons:—

Gisborne-Opotiki via Coast Main Highway No. 26 (all those portions within Matakoao County between the junction with Hicks Bay Wharf Main Highway No. 474 and the northern boundary of Opotiki County).

Taurangakautuku Valley Main Highway No. 335.

Hicks Bay Wharf Main Highway No. 474.

SPECIAL ORDER.

I HEREBY certify that the following resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Council held on Tuesday, 26th February, 1935, confirmed at a special meeting of the Council held on Thursday, 28th March, 1935, and ordered to take effect as from Tuesday, 30th April, 1935:—

“That in accordance with the provisions of subsection 1 (c) of section 148 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the Taumarunui Borough Council hereby resolves by way of special order to reduce the number of members of the Council from the Mayor and nine Councillors to the Mayor and seven Councillors.”
