IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand
has, in pursuance of the provisions of the Fisheries Act, 1908,
and of the Official Appointments and Documents Act, 1919,
appointed

Isaac Harper Mathieson, of Port Chalmers,
to be an Inspector of Sea-fishing for the purposes of Part I
of the first-mentioned Act.

3288, as Probationary Sub-Lieutenant, R.N.V.R. (N.Z.D.),

Lewis King, Leading Seaman, Official Number 3269, as
Probationary Sub-Lieutenant, R.N.V.R. (N.Z.D.), to
date 23rd March, 1935.
Robin Montrose Messenger, Able Seaman, Official Number
3345, as Probationary Sub-Lieutenant, R.N.V.R. (N.Z.D.),
to date 23rd March, 1935.

of Officers of the N.Z. Military Forces.

HIS Excellency the Administrator of the Government
has been pleased to approve of the following appoint-
ments, promotions, transfers, and resignations of officers of
the New Zealand Military Forces :—

COMMANDS AND STAFF.

Major-General Sir William L. H. Sinclair-Burgess, Knt., C.B.,
C.M.G., D.S.O., N.Z. Staff Corps, is granted an extension
of two years in his period of appointment as General Officer
Commanding New Zealand Military Forces, with effect
from 1st April, 1935. In addition to the appointment of
Commandant, this officer will also retain the appointment
of Chief of the General Staff.

Flight-Lieutenant T. J. Denton, Royal N.Z. Air Force,
relinquishes the appointment of Equipment Officer, Wigram
Aerodrome, Sockburn. Dated 13th March, 1935.
Flying Officer C. C. C. Manson, Royal N.Z. Air Force, is
appointed Equipment Officer, Wigram Aerodrome, Sock-
burn. Dated 14th March, 1935.
Lieutenant-Colonel A. Holland, The Otago Mounted Rifles,
relinquishes command of the Regiment, and is transferred
to the Reserve of Officers, Class I. (b), R.D. 11. Dated
31st March, 1935.
Major A. S. B. Smith, The Otago Mounted Rifles, to be
Lieutenant-Colonel, and is appointed to command the
Regiment. Dated 1st April, 1935.
Major L. A. Rhodes, Regiment of N.Z. Artillery, relinquishes
command of the 12th Field Battery, and is transferred to
the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 11. Dated 25th
February, 1935.
Captain J. F. G. Stark, Regiment of N.Z. Artillery, to be
Major, and is appointed to command the 12th Field
Battery. Dated 26th February, 1935.

ROYAL N.Z. AIR FORCE.
Colin Campbell Charles Manson to be Flying Officer. Dated
14th March, 1935.

THE AUCKLAND MOUNTED RIFLES.
Lieutenant D. S. Riddell, from the Reserve of Officers, The
Waikato Mounted Rifles, to be Lieutenant, with seniority
from 14th August, 1932. Dated 31st January, 1935.

REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY.
2nd Lieutenant G. P. cachemaille, 5th Field Battery, resigns
his commission. Dated 16th March, 1935.

THE AUCKLAND REGIMENT (Countess of Ranfurly's Own).
Lieutenant W. W. Small, from the Reserve of Officers, The
Otago Regiment, to be Lieutenant, with seniority from
25th January, 1933, and is posted to the 1st Battalion.
Dated 11th February, 1935.

THE HAURAKI REGIMENT.
The undermentioned 2nd Lieutenants, Ist Battalion, to be
Lieutenants :—

C. D. Brown, M.M. Dated 30th September, 1934.
A. A. Delaney. Dated 1st October, 1934.
R. W. Dunbar. Dated 2nd October, 1934.

THE WAIKATO REGIMENT.
Thomas Lionel Greet Johnson to be 2nd Lieutenant (on pro-
bation) and is posted to the 1st Cadet Battalion. Dated
lst September, 1934.

THE CANTERBURY REGIMENT.
2nd Lieutenant D. A. Smith, 3rd Cadet Battalion, to be
Lieutenant. Dated lst July, 1933.

THE NELSON, MARLBOROUGH, AND WEST COAST REGIMENT.
The undermentioned to be 2nd Lieutenants (on probation)
and are posted to the 2nd Cadet Battalion :—

Henry James Haigh. Dated 30th January, 1935.
Austin Everard Golding. Dated 31st January, 1935.
Eric Walter Tonks. Dated 1st February, 1935.

THE SOUTHLAND REGIMENT.
The appointment of 2nd Lieutenant (on probation) A. R.
Dreaver, 1st Cadet Battalion, is confirmed.

N.Z. MEDICAL CORPS.
Walter Gordon Chisholm Paterson, M.B., to be Lieutenant,
and is posted to the 2nd Field Ambulance. Dated 11th
March, 1935.

RESERVE OF OFFICERS.
The Auckland Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly's Own).
2nd Lieutenant K. J. Duncan resigns his commission. Dated
7th March, 1935.

section (2) of section 3 of the Stock-remedies Act, 1934, to
appoint

Charles John Reakes, Esquire, C.B.E., D.V.Sc., M.R.C.V.S.,
to be Registrar for the purposes of the said Act.

Herbert Seton Stewart Kyle, Esquire, M.P., G.M.V.C.,
on the recommendation of the New Zealand Veterinary
Association (Incorporated), and

Herbert James Stanley Rickard, Esquire, M.P.S., Ph.C.,
on the recommendation of the Pharmacy Board of New
Zealand, to be members of the Stock-remedies Registration
Board established under the said Act.
