Also all that area containing approximately 480 acres, being part of Provisional State Forest No. 118 aforesaid, situated in Block XI, Gordon Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the south by Section 5, Block XI aforesaid (State forest—Gazette, 1886, page 209); towards the west by a public road; and towards the north, east, and again towards the south by the edge of the bush.

Also all that area containing approximately 80 acres, being part of Section 1, Block XI, Gordon Survey District, and being part of Provisional State Forest No. 118 aforesaid, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the north-west by Section 5, Block XI aforesaid (State forest—Gazette, 1886, page 209); and towards the north-east and south-west by the edge of the bush.

Also all that area containing approximately 540 acres, being part of Provisional State Forest No. 118 aforesaid, situated in Blocks X, XI, and XV, Gordon Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the west by Sections 3 and 9, Block X aforesaid; and towards the north-east, south-east, and south-west by the edge of the bush.

Also all that area containing approximately 100 acres, being part of Provisional State Forest No. 118 aforesaid, situated in Block XIV, Gordon Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the north-west by Section 16, Block XIV aforesaid; and towards the north-east, east, and south by the edge of the bush.

As the same are more particularly delineated on plan No. 108/25, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

All that area of national-endowment provisional State forest containing by admeasurement 11,579 acres, more or less, being Provisional State Forest No. 115 (Gazette, 1920, page 2110, 820 acres), Provisional State Forest No. 168 (Gazette, 1925, page 2887, 772 acres), and part of Provisional State Forest No. 174 (Gazette, 1925, page 2837, 9,787 acres), situated on Blocks V, IX, and XIII, Motupiko, and Block XII, Howard Survey Districts, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the east by Sections 2, 3, and 8, Block V aforesaid; Sections 1 and 2, Block IX aforesaid, Section 10, Block X, Motupiko Survey District, and Section 8, Block XIV, Motupiko Survey District; towards the south-east by a public road; towards the south by Section 92, Block XIII aforesaid; towards the south-west by Sections 102 and 91, Block XIII aforesaid, Sections 18, 17, and 7, Block XVI, Howard Survey District, and Section 93, Block XII aforesaid; towards the north and north-east by a public road to a point due south of the easternmost corner of Section 14, Block XII aforesaid; towards the west by a right line across the said road to the easternmost corner of the said section, and by that section; towards the north-west by Section 2, Block XII aforesaid, across a public road, and again by the said Section 2 to and across the Rainy River; again towards the west by a road along the eastern bank of the Rainy River to a road along Prospector Creek; towards the north-east by the road along the said creek to a point opposite the junction of the said creek with a tributary forming the north-western boundary of Section 6, Block V aforesaid; towards the north-west by a right line across the said road and Prospector Creek and by the said tributary; again towards the west by Section 1, Block V aforesaid, a public road, and again by the said Section 1; and again towards the north-west by Small Grazing-run 9: save and excepting two intersecting public roads. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 108/25, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

All that area containing by admeasurement 830 acres, more or less, being Provisional State Forest No. 116 (Gazette, 1920, page 2109, national-endowment provisional State forest), situated in Block VIII, Wangamoa, and Block I, Tapumutu Survey Districts, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the south by Section 10, Block I aforesaid; towards the west by Sections 8, 6, and 12, Block I aforesaid, and Sections 11 and 12, Block VIII aforesaid; towards the north-west by Section 2, Block VIII aforesaid (State forest, Gazette, 1898, page 1457); and towards the east by Lot 3 of Section 18, Block IX, Wangamoa Survey District, and a State forest (Gazette, 1881, page 959) in the Marlborough Land District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 103/7, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

All those areas containing approximately 12,090 acres, being Provisional State Forest No. 117 (Gazette, 1920, page 2109), and described as follows:—

All that area containing approximately 7,650 acres, situated in Blocks I and II, Tapumutu, Blocks VII, VIII, X, and XI,

Wakapuaka, and Blocks II and III, Maungatapu Survey Districts, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the north by Section 9, Block I, Tapumutu Survey District; towards the north-east by Section 11, Block I aforesaid; towards the south-east by Section I, Block II, Tapumutu Survey District, by a State forest (Gazette, 1881, page 935) in Marlborough Land District, to Saddle Hill, and by a State forest (Gazette, 1931, page 1); towards the south-west by Section I, Block II, Maungatapu Survey District (waterworks reserve); towards the north-west by Section 33, Block II, Maungatapu Survey District; again towards the north, north-west, and towards the south by Section 32, Block X, Wakapuaka Survey District; again towards the west by Section 96, Block X aforesaid; again towards the north-west and west by Section 28, Block X aforesaid, and a public road; again towards the north by Section 5, Block XI, Wakapuaka Survey District; again towards the west by Sections 5, 6, 4, 7, and 1, Block XI aforesaid, and Section 5, Block VII aforesaid; again towards the north by Section 16, Block VII aforesaid; towards the east by a road along the western bank of the Wangamoa River and Section 9, Block XI aforesaid; again towards the north-west and south-west by the said Section 9; again towards the north-west by Sections 103 and 19, Block VII, Wakapuaka Survey District; again towards the north-east by Section 18, Block VII aforesaid; and again towards the north-west by Sections 18 and 17, Block VII aforesaid, Sections 3 and 5, a public road, and Section 6, Block VIII, Wakapuaka Survey District, and Section 1, Block IV aforesaid. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 103/7, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Also all that area containing approximately 5,340 acres, situated in Blocks IV and VII, Maungatapu, and Block XII, Waimea Survey Districts, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the north and north-east by a scenic reserve; towards the south-east by a State forest (Gazette, 1931, page 1); towards the south by Section 11, Block XII, Waimea Survey District; towards the south-west by Flackett Creek; towards the north-west and again towards the north-east by the River Miner to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 13, Block XI, Waimea Survey District; again towards the south-west by a right line across the said river to the most eastern corner of the said section and by the said Section 13; and again towards the north-west by Sections 7, 12, and 13, Block XII aforesaid, and Section 15, Block IV aforesaid. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 103/7, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921-22, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a provisional State forest.

SCHEDULE.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SOUTHLAND FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.

ALL that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 248 acres 1 rood 3 perches, more or less, and being Sections 6 and 7, Block I, Waikawa Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 217/4, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 4th day of January, 1935.
