NIHO NIHO RIDING.

All that area in the Taranaki Land District, bounded by a line commencing at Te Tawa Trig. Station and proceeding westerly and northerly along the eastern boundary of Ohura Riding hereinbefore described to its intersection with the western boundary of Matiere Riding hereinbefore described; thence north-easterly and generally southerly along the said riding boundary to the easternmost corner of Section 2, Block IV, Ohura Survey District; thence south-westerly along the eastern boundary of the said Section 2 to Te Tawa Trig. Station, the point of commencement.

As required by section 100 of the Counties Act, 1920, I hereby certify that the boundaries described in the Schedule attached can be followed on maps deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at New Plymouth.—F. H. Waters, Chief Surveyor, Taranaki Land District.

SPECIAL ORDER.

“THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by section 2 of the Counties Amendment Act, 1931, the Matamata County Council resolves by way of special order that sections 121 and 131 of the Counties Act, 1920, shall not apply to the said Matamata County Council.”

The special order is to take effect as from the 1st day of April, 1935.

SPECIAL ORDER.

WHEREAS under and by virtue of section 121 of the Counties Act, 1920, it is provided that the Council shall make and levy the general rates separately in each riding of the county, and by section 131 of the said Act provision is also made for apportioning the estimated income among the several ridings of the county in proportion to the total income estimated to be received from each riding in respect of general rates: And whereas subsection (1) of section 2 of the Counties Amendment Act, 1931, provides that the Council of any county may by special order declare that the said sections 121 and 131 of the Counties Act, 1920, as aforesaid shall not apply to the Council: And whereas the Selwyn County Council is desirous of adopting the provisions of the said the Counties Amendment Act, 1931, relating to sections 121 and 131 of the Counties Act, 1920:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the provisions of the Counties Amendment Act, 1931, as aforesaid the Selwyn County Council doth hereby resolve and declare that the said sections 121 and 131 of the Counties Act, 1920, shall not apply to the Council after the 31st day of March, 1935.

Fees payable on the Issue of Certificates of Health or Freedom from Disease in respect of the Export of Stock, Poultry, Hides, Skins, &c.—(Notice No. Ag. 3239.)

IT is hereby notified for public information that on and after the 1st day of January, 1935, there shall be payable on the issue of certificates of health or freedom from disease in respect of the export of the several classes of stock, poultry, hides, skins, &c., mentioned in the Schedule hereto, the respective fees set opposite each such class of stock or other goods in the said Schedule.


SCHEDULE.

Class of Stock or other Goods. Fee for Export Certificate.
Horses .. .. .. For one animal, 10s. 6d.; for each additional animal not exceeding five in same ownership, 5s.; exceeding five, for each additional animal in same ownership, 2s. 6d., with maximum fee of £2 10s.

Cattle for breeding purposes .. For one animal, 10s. 6d.; for each additional animal not exceeding twenty in same ownership, 5s.; exceeding twenty, for each additional animal in same ownership, 1s.

Cattle for slaughter for food purposes For each animal not exceeding ten in same ownership, 2s., with maximum fee of 10s. 6d.; exceeding ten, for each additional animal in same ownership, 1s., with maximum fee of £1.

Swine for breeding purposes.. For one animal, 5s.; for each additional animal in same ownership, 1s.

Swine for slaughter for food purposes For each animal not exceeding ten in same ownership, 6d., with maximum fee of 3s.; exceeding ten, for each additional animal in same ownership, 4d., with maximum fee of 10s.

Sheep and goats for breeding purposes For one animal, 5s.; for each additional animal not exceeding five in same ownership, 1s.; exceeding five, for each additional animal in same ownership, 6d., with maximum fee of £2 10s.

Sheep and goats for slaughter for food purposes For each animal not exceeding ten in same ownership, 6d., with maximum fee of 3s.; exceeding ten, for each additional animal in same ownership, 4d., with maximum fee of 10s.

Dogs, cats, rabbits, poultry, and other birds For each original certificate, 2s. 6d.

Hides, skins, tallow, wool, casings, &c. (a) For each original certificate covering whole consignment, 1s.
(b) When separate certificates are required for each package, cask, or parcel included in any one consignment a fee of 1s. shall be payable for each ten or portion of ten such certificates.

Circus and other groups of performing animals For a certificate embracing the whole group, £1 1s.

THE following resolution passed by the Waipa County Council on the 17th day of December, 1934, is published in accordance with the provisions of section 7 (2) of the Noxious Weeds Amendment Act, 1934.


RESOLUTION.

“RESOLVED that the Council hereby resolves to assume responsibility for the administration of the Noxious Weeds Act within the county as from the 1st April, 1935.”
