Ragwort is spreading.

This property is situated about three miles from New Plymouth Post-office and Railway-station and about one mile and a half from Vogeltown School. Bus service to within about half a mile of the section. Access by good metal and tar-sealed road.

The section, with the exception of about 1 acre of easy creek face at the back, comprises good level land. With the exception of about ¼ acre the area is in good grass, valuation for which is included in the capital value.

The property comprises about 40 acres bush land felled and grassed (in poor condition) and about 376 acres in natural state (fern and manuka), and contains a little rough grazing. Approximately half the area is of easy contour capable of being ploughed, while the balance is inferior country. Ragwort is prevalent, but the property is capable of being made into a good mixed-farming proposition, and with the ragwort held in check could be gradually broken in for dairying. The soil is loam resting on rhyolite and clay formation; watered by running streams and springs. There are no buildings.
