Settlement Land in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, 14th February, 1934.
NOTICE is hereby given that Sections 1s, 4s to 8s, and 11s to 13s, Aponga Settlement, will be opened for selection on renewable lease under the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Monday, 19th March, 1934. The ballot will be held on Wednesday, 21st March, 1934.
Sale plans, application forms, and full particulars may be obtained from the Commissioner of Crown Lands, North Auckland, Auckland.

Lands in Taranaki Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease and Optional Tenures.
District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, 14th February, 1934.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are open for selection under the Land Act, 1924, and the Education Reserves Act, 1928, and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, up to 4 o'clock p.m., on Monday, 19th March, 1934.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, on Wednesday, 21st March, 1934, at 10 a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.
SCHEDULE.
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.-THIRD-CLASS LAND. Eltham County.--Omona Survey District.
SECTION 2, Block XII : Area, 973 acres. Capital value, £245 : Deposit on deferred payments, £15; half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £7 9s. 6d. Renewable lease ; half-yearly rent, £4 18s.
Section 7, Block XII : Area, 562 acres. Renewable lease; half-yearly rent, £5 12s. 6d.
Both these sections are to go together as one holding. Section 2 is Crown land, and may at the option of the applicant be purchased for cash or on deferred payments or be selected on renewable lease (term, sixty-six years). Section 7 is an Education Reserve and can be selected only on renewable lease (term, thirty-three years).
Weighted with £622 for improvements, comprising whare, about 370 chains boundary and subdivisional fencing, about 500 acres felled and grassed, and about 345 acres surface sown. This amount, after being reduced to a multiple of £5, may be secured on mortgage by arrangement with the State Advances Superintendent for a period of thirty years, with interest at the rate of 6 per cent. per annum.
Situated on Botton's Track, off Rawhitiroa Road, about two miles from Moeroa Post-office and School (half-time) and thirty-two miles from Eltham. Access is from Eltham by thirty miles tar-seal and metal road and two miles clay road.
This property is hilly to steep sandstone country and comprises approximately 845 acres in fern and grass, 62 acres in second growth, and 628 acres in natural state.
Stratford County.--Ngatimaru Survey District.
Section 11, Block IX : Area, 276 acres 2 roods 8 perches. Capital value, £140 : Deposit on deferred payments, £10; half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £4 4s. 6d. Renewable lease; half-yearly rent, £2 16s.
Section 8, Block V : Area, 197 acres. Renewable lease; half-yearly rent, £1 5s.
Both these sections are to go together as one holding. Section 11 is Crown land and may at the option of the applicant be purchased for cash or on deferred payments or be selected on renewable lease (term, sixty-six years), Section 8 is an Education Reserve and can be selected only on renewable lease (term, thirty-three years).
Weighted with £710 valuation for improvements, comprising house, wool-shed, about 230 chains fencing, about 60 acres stumped and grassed, and about 72 acres felling and grassing. This amount may be either paid in cash or secured by way of first mortgage to the State Advances Superintendent for a
term of thirty years, with interest at the rate of 6 per cent. per annum. The half-yearly instalments payable under such mortgage would amount to £25 13s.
The property, which comprises easy hills to steep and broken country, is situated on the Kiore Road, about one mile from the Kiore Post-office and School and about eight miles by metalled road from Stratford. About 341 acres are in worn-out pasture, 72 acres bush land felled and grassed, and 60 acres bush land felled and stumped.

The land in the First Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or on deferred payments, or be selected on renewable lease.
The land in the Second Schedule is available for selection on renewable lease only.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
CROWN LAND.-SECOND-CLASS LAND. Ohura County.--Tangitu Survey District.
SECTION 7, Block XI : Area, 550 acres. Capital value, £550: Deposit on deferred payments, £30; half-yearly instalments on deferred payments, £16 18s. Renewable lease, half-yearly rent, £11.
Weighted with £840 for improvements, comprising whare (three rooms), wool-shed and yards, about 360 chains fencing, and approximately 300 acres felled, burned, and grassed. This amount may be either paid in cash or taken over by way of first mortgage to the State Advances Superintendent for a term of thirty years, with interest at the rate of six per cent. per annum. The half-yearly instalment of principal and interest payable under the mortgage will amount to £30 6s. 11d.
The property is situated on the Okahukura Road, about three miles and a half from Tuhua Post-office, three miles from Tuhua School, four miles from Tuhua Railway-station, and about one mile and a half from Matiere Dairy Factory. Access is by metalled road from Okahukura. The present condition of the land is approximately 300 acres in fair pasture, 30 acres in worn-out pasture, and 220 acres in standing bush.
Special Conditions.--No timber or firewood may be sold or removed from the property without the prior written consent of the Commissioner of Crown Lands, and all proceeds from the sale of any such timber or firewood shall be paid to the Receiver of Land Revenue, New Plymouth, and shall be disbursed as directed by the Land Board.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
CROWN LAND.--THIRD-CLASS LAND. Eltham County.--Omona Survey District.
(Exempt from payment of rent for five years.*)
SECTION 2, Block XVI : Area, 1,166 acres. Capital value, £295 ; half-yearly rent, £5 18s.
Loaded with £330 for improvements, comprising dwelling, wool-shed, approximately 200 chains fencing, felling, grassing, and track formation. This sum is payable in cash or may be secured by an instalment-mortgage to the State Advances Superintendent, term, thirty years, with interest at six per cent.; half-yearly instalment, £11 18s. 6d.
- After payment of first half-year's rent and broken period rent, if any, an exemption from payment of further rent for a period of five years will be granted provided improvements to the value of £30 are effected annually.
