LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICES.
EVIDENCE of the loss of memorandum of lease No. 12167 for Lot 177, deposited plan No. 18124, being portion of Allotment 10 of Section 12 of the Suburbs of Auckland, and being part of the land in certificate of title, Vol. 418, folio 216 (Auckland Registry), of which HENRY JAMES LOWE, of Auckland, Retired Commissioner of Crown Lands, is the registered lessee, having been lodged with me, together with an application for the issue of a provisional memorandum of lease, notice is hereby given of my intention to issue such provisional memorandum of lease accordingly upon the expiration of fourteen days from the 27th day of September, 1934.
Dated at the Land Registry Office at Auckland, this 21st day of September, 1934.

EVIDENCE having been furnished of the loss of certificate of title, Vol. 21, folio 210 (Taranaki Registry), for Section 826, Stratford Town, containing 1 rood, whereof MARGARET PORTER, wife of WILLIAM EWART PORTER, of Stratford, Settler, is the registered proprietor, and application having been made to me to issue a provisional certificate of title in lieu thereof, I hereby give notice that it is my intention to issue such provisional certificate of title at the expiration of fourteen days from the date of the Gazette containing this notice.

RESULT OF POLL ON RATING ISSUE.
IN the matter of the Rating Act, 1925, and of a demand that a poll should be held on a proposal that henceforth the system of rating property on the basis of the unimproved value thereof be adopted in the City of Dunedin, I have to give notice that a poll of the ratepayers was held on Tuesday, 11th September, 1934, when the voting was as follows :-

Against the proposal .. .. .. 8,428
Informal .. .. .. 77
Majority against the proposal .. .. 4,730
I have, therefore, to declare the proposal to be rejected.
