Land proclaimed as a Street in the Borough of New Plymouth.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a street the land in the Borough of New Plymouth described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a street: 6·4 perches.
Being portion of Lot 3, Deeds Plan 5, being part Section 1, New Plymouth Town Belt.

Situated in the Borough of New Plymouth. (S.O. 7328.)

In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 87522, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured pink.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day of August, 1934.

Stopping a Government Road in Block XI, Matakoe Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as stopped the Government road described in the Schedule hereto, such road being no longer required.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road hereby stopped: 3 roods 9·3 perches.
Adjoining or passing through part Allotment 50, Paparoa Parish.

Situated in Block XI, Matakoe Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 24947.)

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 75393, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day of August, 1934.

Amending Regulations for Trout, Perch, and Tench Fishing in the Waitaki Acclimatization District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of August, 1934.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Fisheries Act, 1908, the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby amend Regulation 12 of the regulations of the sixteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, for trout, perch, and tench fishing in the Waitaki Acclimatization District by adding the following proviso thereto:—

“Provided that no person other than the holder of a license and being a boy attending school, or under the age of 16, or a woman, shall take any trout not exceeding 11 in. in length from nose to tip of tail from the Kakanui River or the Oamaru Creek.”

Amending Regulations under Part I of the Fisheries Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of August, 1934.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the fourteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, and published in the Gazette of the seventeenth day of the same month, at page 2288, certain regulations under Part I of the Fisheries Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), were made:

And whereas it is desirable to amend the said regulations in the manner hereinafter described:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend the said regulations by adding to paragraph (b) of Regulation 52 thereof the following:—

“Provided that during the period from the 15th day of August, 1934, to the 14th day of September, 1934, both days inclusive, no person shall use a Danish seine net for taking fish in that part of the Hauraki Gulf south of a straight line drawn from the summit of the hill on Waiheke Island marked 770 ft. on Admiralty Chart 1896 through the summit of the hill on Rotaro Island marked 245 ft. on the said chart to Cow Rock (Tuahuia Islet).”

Amendment to Regulations under the Motor-spirits Taxation Act, 1927.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of August, 1934.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

PURSUANT to the Motor-spirits Taxation Act, 1927 (hereinafter called the “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice of the Executive Council, doth hereby make the following regulations.

REGULATIONS.

  1. (a) THESE regulations may be cited as “the Motor-spirits Regulations Amendment No. 2.”

(b) These regulations shall be read together with and deemed to form part of the regulations made under the said Act on the 28th day of January, 1928, and published in the Gazette on the 2nd day of February, 1928, at page 289 (hereinafter called “the principal regulations”), and the further regulations made under the said Act on the 18th day of March, 1929, and published in the Gazette on the 28th day of the same month, at page 792 (hereinafter called “the amending regulations”).

  1. Regulation 3 of the principal regulations is hereby amended by adding thereto the following words: “Provided also that it shall be sufficient compliance with this regulation if the application is signed by an attorney, manager, accountant, secretary, or other agent purporting to sign on behalf of the consumer, and such signature is attested as aforesaid (unless attestation be dispensed with), and any person signing a claim as agent or on behalf of a consumer shall be deemed to warrant his authority to make the claim and to receive and give a good discharge for all refunds for which application is thereby made.”

  2. Regulation 4 of the principal regulations, as amended by the amending regulations, is hereby further amended by revoking the words “by any person,” and substituting therefor the words “by or on behalf of any one consumer.”
