NEW ZEALAND.—NORTH ISLAND.—BAY OF PLENTY.
Tauranga Entrance: Buoys to be withdrawn.

Position: Lat. 37° 38′ S., long. 176° 10′·5 E. (approx.).
Details: The black buoy moored 317° about 2½ cables, and the red buoy 295° about 3½ cables, from Stony Point beacon, will be removed on or about the 26th June and will not be replaced.

Chart affected: No. 2521.

Notice to Mariners No. 29 of 1934.

NEW ZEALAND.—NORTH ISLAND.—WAITEMATA RIVER.
Pipe-line laid: Prohibited anchorage.

Position: Kauri Trig. lat. 36° 49′·2 S., long. 174° 42′ E. (approx.). Chart 1970.

Details: A pipe-line carrying water to Birkenhead has been laid from a position in Kendall Bay, 178°, 1,400 ft. from Kauri Trig. on a line 164°, 6,900 ft., thence on a line 173°, 3,800 ft., to the foot of Garnet Road, Grey Lynn.

The line is marked by four beacons, each 6 ft. in height, and surmounted by a black pyramid bearing the word “PIPE” in white, situated at the Kendall Bay end and at distances therefrom of 1,100 ft., 3,000 ft., and 6,900 ft. respectively. Anchorage is prohibited within 300 ft. of the line.

Amendments to Notice No. 12 of 1934:—

Insert footnote:—

  • Ships who miss messages, in part or whole, transmitted by shore stations and subsequently obtain repetitions from other ships should indicate the fact in the remarks column of the return, stating the transmitting ship and time of receipt. Ships who transmit repetitions should also indicate the fact in their returns.

Page 2, paragraph 3a, line 5, after news insert: and on 16 kc/s (18,740 metres) and 8,640 kc/s (34·72 metres) at 2000 G.M.T. immediately preceding the British Official Wireless News.

SCHEDULE.

Page 4; insert at top: Note.—The additional transmission from Rugby on 16 kc/s (18,740 metres) at 2000 G.M.T. has been provided primarily for ships in Area 5, and that of 8,640 kc/s (34·72 metres) at 2000 G.M.T. for ships in Areas 3, 4, 5, and 6.

All Areas: Rugby. Column 6: insert 2000 after 0000.

Page 5, Area 8: Esquimalt. Column 6. Amend times of 6200 kc/s transmission to 0200 and 1800.

Area 11: New Zealand. Add to Columns 3, 4, 5, and 6:—

Details.—Tests of the above organization will be carried out during the week commencing 1st July, 1934.

It is particularly desired that ships in Areas 4, 8, 10, and 11 should, in addition to listening for the stations allocated to their area, and for Rugby and Falklands, listen for and report on the reception of—

(a) Esquimalt, on 6,200 kc/s (48·39 m.).

(b) Sydney and Perth, on 8,640 kc/s (34·72 m.).

The accompanying specimen forms are to be used by ships rendering returns on the forthcoming test. For times of transmissions, see former Notice No. 12 of 1934, quoted above.

Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.—Declaration by the Assistant Registrar dissolving a Society.

I, ROY FELLOWES BAIRD, Assistant Registrar of Incorporated Societies, do hereby declare that, as it has been made to appear to me that the Hawke’s Bay Centralised Relief Workers Association, Incorporated, 1933/2, is no longer in operation, the aforesaid society is hereby dissolved in pursuance of section 28 of the Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.

Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.—Declaration revoking the Dissolution of a Society.

I, ROY FELLOWES BAIRD, Assistant Registrar of Incorporated Societies, do hereby declare that the declaration made by me on the 24th day of April, 1933, dissolving the Kaiwaka District Domain Board, Incorporated, was made in error, and the said declaration is accordingly hereby revoked in pursuance of section 28, subsection (3), of the Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.
