Lieutenant J. McCrae, 1st Battalion, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 11. Dated 11th May, 1934.

Andrew Campbell Logan to be 2nd Lieutenant (on probation) and is posted to the 2nd Cadet Battalion. Dated 14th May, 1934.

N.Z. AIR FORCE.

George Urqhart Allan to be Flight Lieutenant and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b). Dated 12th May, 1934.

N.Z. MEDICAL CORPS.

Stewart Hunter, M.B., F.R.C.S. Edin., to be Lieutenant and is posted to the 3rd Field Ambulance. Dated 11th May, 1934.

N.Z. CHAPLAINS DEPARTMENT.

The Reverend Archibald McNeur, Chaplain, 4th Class (Presbyterian), is transferred to the Reserve List, Class II, R.D. 12. Dated 11th May, 1934.

The Reverend J. R. Lennon, Chaplain, 4th Class (Roman Catholic), resigns his commission. Dated 18th May, 1934.

Notifying Land in Auckland Land District subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1908.

PURSUANT to the provisions of subsection (2) of section 48 of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, notice is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being the land known as Horahora Settlement, was acquired by the Crown on the 14th day of April, 1919, and became subject to the provisions of the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, as from that date.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—HORAHORA SETTLEMENT.

ALL that area situated in Block XVI, Cambridge Survey District, and Block IV, Maungatautari Survey District, containing by admeasurement 1,708 acres 2 roods 15 perches, more or less, and being Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 on the plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland under No. 12360 ; Lots 1 and 3 on the plan deposited as aforesaid under No. 12453 ; Lots 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and part 1 on the plan deposited as aforesaid under No. 7039, the aforesaid lots comprising part of the Horahora Block ; Section 3 and part Section 4, Block IV, Maungatautari Survey District, and being all the land contained in Certificate of Title, Volume 292, folio 122. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 21/112A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
