HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments, promotions, transfers, and resignations of officers of the New Zealand Military Forces :—
COMMANDS AND STAFF.
Lieutenant-Colonel K. MacCormick, D.S.O., M.B., F.R.C.S. Eng., N.Z. Medical Corps, relinquishes the appointments of Assistant Director of Medical Services, and O.C., N.Z.M.C., Northern Command, and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Northern Command. Dated 8th May, 1934.
Major S. H. Ward, M.R.C.S. Eng., N.Z. Medical Corps, ceases to be attached to the 1st Battalion, The North Auckland Regiment, and is appointed Assistant Director of Medical Services, and O.C., N.Z.M.C., Northern Command, with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. Dated 9th May, 1934.
The period of command of Lieutenant-Colonel S. D. Mason, The Canterbury Regiment, is extended to 8th May, 1935.
Lieutenant-Colonel W. C. H. Stevens, The Auckland Mounted Rifles, relinquishes command of the Regiment, and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 1. Dated 31st May, 1934.
Major J. C. E. Wyatt, The Auckland Mounted Rifles, is appointed to command the Regiment with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. Dated 1st June, 1934.
The period of command of Major V. P. Haughton, Central Coast Artillery Group, is extended to 31st May, 1935.
The period of command of Major D. A. Carty, 15th Coast Battery, N.Z.A., is extended to 14th May, 1935.
The period of command of Major R. W. Fenton, 19th Medium Battery, N.Z.A., is extended to 31st May, 1935.
N.Z. ARMY ORDNANCE CORPS.
David Nicol to be Lieutenant, dated 9th May, 1934, and is appointed Assistant Ordnance Officer, Southern Command, Burnham, dated 19th May, 1934.
THE CANTERBURY YEOMANRY CAVALRY.
Lieutenant M. W. P. Blathwayt, Regimental Supernumerary List, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class II (b), R.D. 10. Dated 15th May, 1934.
QUEEN ALEXANDRA’S (WELLINGTON WEST COAST) MOUNTED RIFLES.
The undermentioned officers, Regimental Supernumerary List, are posted to the Active List. Dated 21st May, 1934 :—

THE HAURAKI REGIMENT.
Lieutenant J. J. Buchan, 2nd Cadet Battalion, is transferred to the Otago Regiment. Dated 16th May, 1934.
THE WELLINGTON WEST COAST REGIMENT.
Lieutenant W. B. Sutch, 1st Cadet Battalion, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 5. Dated 7th May, 1934.
