The North-eastern Side of Portion of Shetland Street, in the City of Dunedin, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 30th day of May, 1934.

Present :

THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in any-wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on the ninth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-four, viz. :—

“ That the Dunedin City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Dunedin, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to portion of the north-eastern side of Shetland Street, in the said City of Dunedin, where such portion of street abuts on part of Allotment 70, Township of Anderson, as the said portion of street is more particularly shown on the plan annexed hereto and is thereon coloured red to its centre-line ” ;

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the north-eastern side of the portion of Shetland Street (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.

SCHEDULE.

THE north-eastern side of all that portion of street, situated in the Otago Land District, City of Dunedin, known as Shetland Street, fronting part Lot 70, Township of Anderson. As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 87319, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

The South-eastern Side generally of Portion of Brook Street, in the City of Nelson, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

“ That the Nelson City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Nelson, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to that portion of Brook Street adjoining part Section 35 and part Section 1 Rural as shown on the plan annexed hereto and thereon coloured pink and marked ‘ A–B ’ ” ;

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the south-eastern side generally of the portion of Brook Street (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.

As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 87333, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

The Southern Side of Portion of Bronti Street, in the City of Nelson, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 87334, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Appointment of Member of Medical Council under Medical Practitioners Act, 1914.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section three of the Medical Practitioners Amendment Act, 1924, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

Philip Stanley Foster, M.B., Ch.B., N.Z., 1909 ; M.R.C.S., L.R.C.P., 1911 ; F.R.C.S., Eng., 1913 ;

to be a member of the Medical Council under the aforesaid Act.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 26th day of May, 1934.
