Lands in Auckland Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 30th May, 1934.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned lands will be offered for sale by public auction at the Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Government Buildings, Auckland, on Wednesday, 4th July, 1934, at 11 o’clock a.m., under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

The lands described in the First Schedule may be purchased for cash or on deferred payments.

The lands described in the Second Schedule may be purchased for cash only.


FIRST SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—TOWN LANDS.

Hauraki Plains County.—Pipiropa Town.

SECTIONS 1 to 14, Block V: Area, 3 acres 2 roods. Upset price, £70.

The town of Pipiroa is situated on the Hauraki Plains, on the west bank of the Piako River, a few miles from the coast and seven miles from Thames. Access by service car from Auckland. The land consists of alluvial clay deposit, covered with scrub, raupo, and native grasses.

Matamata Township.—Matamata Settlement.

Section 15, Block VII: Area, 1 rood. Upset price, £125. A level section having a frontage to Tainui Street. Suitable for residential purposes.

Taupo County.—Taupo Town.

SECTION 10, Block XXX: Area, 1 rood. Upset price, £10. A building-site, having a frontage to Runanga Street, half a mile from the post-office and school. Elevated section, with a gentle slope downward from the road—looking towards Lake Taupo.

Mount Maunganui Town District.—Moturiki Township.

Moturiki Township is situated on the eastern shore of the Tauranga Harbour, a short distance from the Mount Maunganui ocean beach on the east coast. Sections 14 and 15 have a frontage to Ohinetama Street, Sections 22 and 23 having a frontage to Omanawhiri Street. The sections, which are in their natural state, are suitable for use as building-sites.

Settlement Land in Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 30th May, 1934.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land for Settlements Act, 1925; and applications will be received at the Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 25th June, 1934.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Tuesday, 26th June, 1934, at 10 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.


SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.

Waipa County.—Tautari Settlement.

SECTION 26s: Area, 432 acres 1 rood 37 perches. Capital value, £470; half-yearly rent, £11 15s.

Weighted with £317 for improvements, consisting of a five-roomed house, shed, 109 chains road fencing, 225 chains internal fencing, and half-share in 71 chains boundary-fencing. This amount is payable in cash.

A grazing property, situated near Pukeatua and approximately seventeen miles from Te Awamutu. Undulating country practically all ploughable. Approximately 200 acres have been cleared and grassed, but this area has totally reverted. Ragwort requires immediate attention. The section is poorly watered.

(NOTE.—The value of half-share in 225 chains of boundary-fencing along the southern and eastern boundaries of the section has been included in the capital value.)

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on optional tenure under the Land Act, 1924, and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 25th June, 1934.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Tuesday, 26th June, 1934, at 10 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—THIRD-CLASS LAND.

Tauranga County.—Maketu Survey District.

SECTION 31, Block IX: Area, 262 acres 3 roods 8 perches. Capital value, £90. Deposit on deferred payments, £5; half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £2 15s. 3d. Renewable lease: half-yearly rent, £1 16s.

Weighted with £293 15s. for improvements, consisting of a dwelling of two rooms, milking-shed, approximately 25 chains road-boundary fencing, half-share in 104 chains boundary-fencing, 40 chains internal fencing, clearing, and grassing. Payable in cash or by a deposit of £3 15s., the balance (£290) to remain on mortgage to the State Advances Superintendent, payable over a period of thirty years with interest at 6 per cent; half-yearly instalment, £10 9s. 7d.

(NOTE.—An exemption from the payment of interest under this mortgage applies for a period of two years.)

A grazing property, situated on No. 2 Road, Te Puke, eight miles and a half from Te Puke Post-office, Railway-station, and Dairy Factory, and a quarter of a mile from Mangatoi School.

The section comprises about half easy country, balance from steep to broken at the back. The soil is a light loam resting on pumice and rhyolite formation; watered by a stream in the deep gorge at the back, also the county supply is available at the boundary. Approximately 194 acres have been grassed but have now reverted. Ragwort requires immediate attention.
