N OTICE is hereby given that the matter mentioned in the Schedule hereunder written will be heard by the Native Land Court sitting at Hastings on the 12th June, 1934, or as soon thereafter as the business of the Court will allow.

APPLICANT: The Patangata County Council. Name of land: Eparaina G 3a (part). Nature of application: For assessment of compensation for land taken for the purpose of a public road deviation.
CROWN LANDS NOTICES.
Land in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 14th May, 1934.
N OTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924, and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Monday, 18th June, 1934.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 20th June, 1934, at 10 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.
SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Ray of Islands County.—Omapere Survey District.
(Exempt from payment of rent for three years.*)
Section 4, Block IV: Area, 235 acres. Capital value, £180; half-yearly rent, £3 12s.
Sections 2 and 14, Block IV: Area, 326 acres 2 roods. Capital value, £245; half-yearly rent, £4 18s.
- In the case of each property an exemption from the payment of rent for three years will be granted provided improvements to the value of 10 per cent. of the capital value are effected annually in addition to ordinary improvements required under the conditions of the lease.
Section 4: Access is from Kerikeri Wharf, about ten miles distant, eight miles is metalled, and two miles is roughly formed. About half the area is ploughable with balance easy rising to steep, consisting of light brown soil and ironstone of fair quality; well watered by permanent creeks. About 50 acres in green bush from which milling-timber has been removed but containing sufficient puriri and totara for fencing, balance of area in manuka, hakca, fern, and scrub.
Sections 2 and 14: Access is from Kerikeri Wharf, about nine miles distant. About 210 acres ploughable and balance is fairly steep consisting of fair quality brown soil and ironstone. About 30 acres in green bush with sufficient fencing timber for the requirements of the section, the balance being in fern, hakca, manuka, and scrub.
THIRD-CLASS LAND.
Franklin County.—Awhitu Parish.
(Exempt from payment of rent for three years.*)
Section N.E. 74: Area, 116 acres 2 roods 36 perches. Capital value, £75; half-yearly rent, £1 10s.
- Rent free for three years providing that in addition to improvements as required by the Land Act, 1924, further improvements to the value of £20 are effected annually.
The land is situated on the Awhitu metalled road two miles from the Awhitu Post-office and School and twenty-one miles from Waiuku Railway-station, Dairy Factory, and Saleyards.
It consists for the most part of broken country covered in fern, hakca, and second growth. Soil is clay resting on a clay formation; watered by swamp springs, but doubtful if supply is permanent. About 50 acres is ploughable, and the balance could be grassed by burning and seeding on the burn. Property is not suitable for a separate holding but would provide a grazing area for adjoining or nearby farmers. Altitude approximately 1,400 ft. above sea-level.

N OTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Friday, 1st June, 1934.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Tuesday, 5th June, 1934, at 10 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SETTLEMENT LAND.—THIRD-CLASS LAND.
Tauranga County.—Ohauiti Settlement.
(Exempt from payment of rent for three years.)
SECTIONS 21s and 22s: Area, 761 acres 3 roods. Capital value, £225; half-yearly rent, £5 12s. 6d.
Weighted with £250 for improvements, consisting of a dwelling and whare, cow-bye, approximately 339 chains of fencing (part road, part boundary, and part subdivisional), which has been neglected, clearing and grassing. Payable either in cash or over a period of twenty years by forty instalments of principal and interest combined, amounting to £10 0s. 8d. per half-year.
Suitable for dairying provided the workable area is regressed and regularly top-dressed. Situated on the Ohauiti-Tauranga Road, ten miles from Tauranga Post-office and Railway-station, two miles from Ohauiti School.
The area varies from undulating to broken and hilly country, the soil being of a light pumice nature, resting on pumice formation. Approximately 130 acres has been grassed but has now reverted, balance in natural state, tea-tree, tutu, and fern. Ragwort requires immediate attention. Watered by streams.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, on Wednesday, the 27th June, 1934, at 10 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.
