And so on, a grade and an assistant of Grade 2 being added for each additional 30 in average attendance.
(6) Deleting from clause 7 the words “Grade of School,” and substituting therefor the words “Grade of Salary”; and further by deleting the words and figures “II and III” and substituting therefor the words and figures “II and IIIA, IIIB, IIIC.”
(7) Inserting in clause 15, after the words “exclusive of,” the words “normal school.”
(8) Revoking clause 16.
(9) Inserting in clause 28 the following new subclause:-
“(3A) If on 1st February in any year the grade of any school or department is reduced and the attendance during the last term of the school year immediately preceding has been at least equal to the minimum of the grade in which the school or department was previously placed, the school may be staffed at the numerical strength of the higher grade until the end of the first term of the year for which the grade is reduced, and, if the attendance is still so maintained, so on from term to term until 1st February of the following year.”
(10) Inserting in clause 49, before the word “increase,” the word “immediate”; and further by deleting the words “section 9 of the Education Amendment Act, 1919,” and substituting therefor the words “subsections (13), (14), and (15) of section 2 of the Education Amendment Act, 1932–33.”
