hereby cancel the authority of the One Tree Hill Borough Council to borrow, under the loan authority hereinbefore referred to, the sum of four thousand and fifty pounds (£4,050), being the amount in respect of which the said loan authority has not been exercised: Provided always that this cancellation is without prejudice to the validity in all respects of the loan of £20,300 already borrowed pursuant to the said loan authority.

Notice respecting Proposed Abolition of the Motueka River District, County of Waimea.

I T is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General under the River Boards Act, 1908, and its amendments, praying that the Motueka River District may be abolished:
All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed abolition which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

Amending Warrant declaring Open Seasons for Imported and/or Native Game in certain Acclimatization Districts in so far as it affects the Grey District Acclimatization District, and declaring an Open Season for Native Game in the Grey District Acclimatization District.
I N exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, I, James Alexander Young, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby amend the Warrant dated 9th March, 1934, made under the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 14, of the 12th idem, at page 520, by deleting all that portion of such Warrant included under the heading “Grey District Acclimatization District,” and do hereby declare the period from the 1st day of May to the 30th day of June, 1934 (both days inclusive), to be an open season in the Grey District Acclimatization District as described in New Zealand Gazette No. 17, of 12th March, 1925, at page 750, for the taking or killing of the following native game—viz., grey duck and black swan—subject to the following conditions.
CONDITIONS.
-
LICENSES to take or kill such native game in the said district will be issued to any person on payment of the sum of ten shillings (10s.) each; and the Chief Postmaster at Greymouth and the Postmasters at Ahaura, Blackball, Brunnerton, Moana, Nelson Creek, Ngahere, Otira, Roa, Runanga, Stillwater, Totara Flat, and Waiuta are hereby authorized to sign and issue the said licenses.

No person shall in any one day take or kill native game exceeding in number twenty head in all of grey duck and black swan, or take or kill more than fifteen head of grey duck.

No person shall commence shooting earlier than one hour before sunrise or continue shooting later than one hour after sunset on any day during the open season.

No person shall use live birds of any species as decoys, nor shall use artificial decoys so that more than fifteen artificial decoys are used at any one time (whether by one or several persons) on any particular water within an area of less than one hundred yards square.

No person shall use or cause to be used any motor-vehicle in connection with the taking or killing of native game: Provided that this condition shall not be so construed as to prohibit the use of any motor-vehicle for the purpose of travelling either generally or to or from a rendezvous.

No person shall use or cause to be used for the purpose of taking or killing any native game any unmoored floating stand, pontoon, hide, mai-mai, or lou, or any boat artificially dressed or covered in any way.

No person engaged in shooting from any shelter, mai-mai, mud-hole, boat, louvre, or other contrivance shall have or use more than one gun.

Any person committing a breach of any of these conditions is liable on conviction to a fine of £20.

Amending Warrant declaring Open Seasons for Imported and/or Native Game in certain Acclimatization Districts in so far as it affects the Otago Acclimatization District, and declaring an Open Season for Imported Game and Native Game in the Otago Acclimatization District.
I N exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, I, James Alexander Young, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby amend the Warrant dated 28th March, 1934, made under the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 20 of the 29th idem, at page 765, by deleting all that portion of such Warrant included under the heading “Otago Acclimatization District,” and do hereby declare the period from the 1st day of May to the 30th day of June, 1934 (both days inclusive), to be an open season in the Otago Acclimatization District, as described in New Zealand Gazette No. 17, of 12th March, 1925, at page 751, for the taking or killing of the following imported game and native game, viz., Californian quail, mallard duck, grey duck, and spoonbill duck, and the period from the 1st day of May to the 30th day of June, 1934 (both days inclusive), to be an open season in the said district, except on Lake Hawea or on that portion of Lake Wanaka which is within the Otago Acclimatization District, or on any area within five chains of such lake and portion of a lake, for the taking or killing of the following native game, viz., black swan, and the period from the 1st day of May to the 14th day of May, 1934 (both days inclusive), to be an open season in the Counties of Maniototo, Taieri, Bruce, and Clutha, forming part of the said district, for the taking or killing of the following native game, viz., pukeko, and the period from the 1st day of February to the 31st day of March, 1935 (both days inclusive), to be an open season in the said district for the taking or killing of the following native game, viz., godwits, subject to the following conditions.
CONDITIONS.

LICENSES to take or kill such imported game and native game (including godwits) in the said district will be issued to any person on payment of the sum of twenty shillings (20s.) each and licenses to take or kill such native game only (including godwits) will be issued to any person on payment of the sum of ten shillings (10s.) each; and the Secretary of the Otago Acclimatization Society, or any person authorized by such Secretary in that behalf, is hereby authorized to sign and issue the said licenses.

A license issued pursuant to this notification to take or kill imported and native game or native game only shall entitle the holder thereof to take or kill native game in the Southland Acclimatization District during the period and subject, mutatis mutandis, to the conditions prescribed in the notification fixing an open season for native game in that district.
