PURSUANT to the powers conferred upon me by clause 6 (2) of the Dairy Factory Managers Regulations, 1934, I, Charles Edward de la Barca Macmillan, Minister of Agriculture, hereby appoint

(a) On the recommendation of the New Zealand Dairy-produce Control Board
Charles Phipp Agar, Esquire, and
Thomas Alexander Winks, Esquire,
being dairy company directors ; -
(b) On the recommendation of the New Zealand Dairy Factory Managers’ Association
John Murray, Esquire, and
Peter Christian Hveisel Petersen, Esquire,
being members of the said association ; -
(c) On the recommendation of the Otago and Southland Cheese-factory Managers’ Union
William Bagrie, Esquire,
being a member of the said union. -
(d) On the recommendation of the Massey Agricultural College Council
William Riddet, Esquire,
being a member of the staff of the Massey Agricultural College ; and -
(e) Winnard Milton Singleton, Esquire, and
William Edward Gwillim, Esquire,
being members of the staff of the Department of Agriculture ;
to be members of the Dairy Factory Managers Registration Board established under the said regulations :
And in pursuance of clause 8 of the said regulations I hereby name

to be the chairman of the said Board.

THE following notice, received from the Mayor, Eastbourne Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.

BOROUGH OF EASTBOURNE.
Result of Poll on a Proposal to Borrow £7,500.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Eastbourne, taken on the 26th day of April, 1934, on the proposal of the Eastbourne Borough Council to borrow by way of special loan within the meaning of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act the sum of seven thousand five hundred pounds (£7,500) for the purpose of making advances to ratepayers of the borough to allow them to have carried out the installation of water and sewerage services to their respective properties :—

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was .. 364
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 36

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

One Tree Hill Borough Council.—Cancellation of Unexercised Loan Authority.
In the matter of section 118 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.
WHEREAS the One Tree Hill Borough Council has been duly authorized to borrow by way of special loan the sum of twenty-four thousand three hundred and fifty pounds (£24,350) for the construction of portion of the Great South Road, and the consent of the Governor-General in Council to the raising of the said loan was given by Order in Council made on the 16th day of August, 1926, and published in the Gazette on the 19th day of the same month, at page 2535 :
And whereas in respect of the said sum of £24,350 there has been raised and borrowed for the purposes aforesaid the sum of twenty thousand three hundred pounds (£20,300), and it has not been found necessary to borrow the whole of the amount so authorized :
And whereas the Minister of Finance has duly notified the One Tree Hill Borough Council in writing of his intention to cancel the loan authority to the extent of four thousand and fifty pounds (£4,050) not exercised :
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers in that behalf conferred upon me by section 118 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, as amended by section 46 of the Finance Act, 1931 (No. 4), and of all other powers me in this behalf enabling, I, Charles E. Macmillan, for Minister of Finance, do
