At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 28th day of February, 1934.
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
Charles Matthew Gleeson,
Willie Waring,
Robert Thomas Hill,
Edgar Purcell Tapper,
Gerald William Miller,
Leslie Powell,
Arthur Henry Waring, and
Thomas Tristan Alfred Arthur White
to be the Taupiri Mountain Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Wednesday, the fourteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-four, at two o'clock p.m., as the time when, and the Taupiri Soldiers and Settlers Hall as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—TAUPIRI MOUNTAIN DOMAIN.
Sections 78 to 87 inclusive, Taupiri Town, Block IV, Newcastle Survey District: Area, 4 acres 2 roods 38 perches, more or less.
Allotment 481, Taupiri Parish: Area, 162 acres 2 roods, more or less.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
George Powell,
Samuel Freeman,
Peter McDonnell,
Maurice John Sinnett,
Walter Stephens, and
Douglas Harper Strachan
to be the Karioi Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the seventh day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-four, at half past one o'clock p.m. as the time when, and the Karioi Domain Pavilion as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

Vesting a Reserve in the Tauranga County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 28th day of February, 1934.
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart for quarry purposes: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Tauranga:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Tauranga in trust for quarry purposes.

ALLOTMENTS 157 and 158, Te Papa Parish: Area, 28 acres 3 roods 8 perches, more or less.

Order in Council varying the Rate of Interest in respect of Portion (£2,000) of the Malvern Electric-power Board's Loan of £25,000.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 28th day of February, 1934.
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the tenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, consent was given to the raising by the Malvern Electric-power Board (hereinafter called “the said local authority”) of a loan of twenty-five thousand pounds (£25,000) (hereinafter called “the said loan”) for electric works:
And whereas by Order in Council made on the twenty-fifth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, the said local authority was authorized to pay interest on the said loan at a rate not exceeding six per centum per annum:
And whereas by reason of section three of the Local Authorities Loans (Rates of Interest) Act, 1931, and section six of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and section five of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Amendment Act, 1933, it became unlawful for the said local authority to pay interest on the sum of two thousand pounds (£2,000) (hereinafter called “the said sum”), being part of the said loan, at a rate in excess of four pounds five shillings (£4 5s.) per centum per annum:
And whereas it is expedient that the said local authority be authorized to pay interest on the said sum at a rate not exceeding four pounds eight shillings (£4 8s.) per centum per annum:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby prescribe that the rate of interest that may be paid by the said local authority on the said sum of £2,000 or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding four pounds eight shillings (£4 8s.) per centum per annum.
