I, THOMAS CAMPBELL SUTHERLAND, B.M., B.S., 1934, now residing in Wellington, hereby give notice that I intend applying on the 7th February next to have my name placed on the Medical Register of the Dominion of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the office of the Department of Health at Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given that by entry made in the minute-book of the company by virtue of section 168, subsection (6), of the Companies Act, 1908, the following special resolution was passed on the 21st day of December, 1933:—
Resolved.—“That it is desirable to reconstruct the company, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily, and that ALBERT VICTOR LATTY, of Gore, Company-manager, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.”

Length and intended course of race: 4½ miles, approximately south-easterly direction.
Points of intake: Five.
Estimated time and cost of construction: Nine months; £10,000.
Mean depth and breadth: 2 ft. 6 in. by 4 ft. 6 in.
Number of heads to be diverted: Twenty heads.
Purpose for which water is to be used: Mining.
Proposed term of license: Ten years.

NOTICE UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Education Board of the District of Auckland intends to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of a public school, the following land, namely: All that piece of land situated in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing three (3) acres, more or less, being portion of the block situated in the Wharekawa Survey District called Wharekawa No. 5B (Pingao).
A plan of the said land is deposited at the Post-office at Kaiaua and is there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours.
All persons affected are hereby required and called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, and to send such writing within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the Education Board of the District of Auckland at its office in Wellesley Street, Auckland.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the shareholders in Ranui Limited held in the company’s office on the 16th day of December, 1933, the following resolution was passed:—
“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the shareholders of the company that the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business and that it is advisable to wind up same, and that HERBERT FREDERICK OWEN TWIGDEN, of Auckland, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator of the company for the purpose of such winding-up.”

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
Streets Formation (Old Railway-station Site) Loan, 1933, £25,000.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926, the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, the Auckland City Empowering Act, 1932–33 (No. 8), and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council doth hereby resolve as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of twenty-five thousand pounds (£25,000) authorized to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of enabling the Council to acquire land for and to form and complete new streets in connection with the subdivision of the Old Railway-station Site, Auckland City, the said Auckland City Council doth hereby make and levy a special rate of two-thirteenths of one penny (2/13ths) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property comprising the whole of the City of Auckland, and that such special rate be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty (30) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
