In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of THE SOUTH OTAGO LOAN AND FINANCE COMPANY, LIMITED.

NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with the provisions of the above Act that by resolution dated the sixth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, the above company was directed to be wound up voluntarily, and that I, JAMES MCDONALD DOGGART, of Balclutha, Accountant, was appointed the Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.

(1931), N.Z., now residing in Dunedin, hereby give notice that I intend applying on the 7th January next to have my name placed on the Medical Register of the Dominion of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the office of the Department of Health at Dunedin.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of VICTORIA ARCADE, LIMITED, a company registered under Part V.

NOTICE is hereby given that by entry in the minute-book of the company on the seventh day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, in accordance with the provisions of subsection (6) of section 168 of the Companies Act, 1908, the following special resolution was passed:—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that HERBERT BENJAMIN HARPER, of Auckland, Company Secretary, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”

THE OTAGO MINING DEVELOPMENT COMPANY, LIMITED.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of section 230 of the Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of the members of the above company will be held in the Board Room of Messrs. W. A. Mitson and Co., 24 Water Street, Dunedin, on Tuesday, the 9th day of January, 1934, at 4 o’clock p.m., for the purpose of having an account laid before the meeting showing the manner in which the winding-up of the said company has been conducted and the assets of the said company disposed of, and for hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator, and also of passing an extraordinary resolution disposing of the books, documents, and accounts of the company and of the Liquidator thereof.

The extraordinary resolution to be submitted to such members is as follows:—

“That the books, documents, and accounts of the Liquidator be kept at the offices of Messrs. W. A. Mitson and Co., Public Accountants, 24 Water Street, Dunedin, for the period of twelve months from the date of passing this resolution, and thereafter that they be destroyed.”

EASTBOURNE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by Part II of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932-33, and the Eastbourne Borough Council Conversion Order, 1933, the Eastbourne Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the new securities authorized to be issued by the Eastbourne Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act and Order in conversion of existing securities issued in respect of the following loans:—

  1. No. 2 Loan of £4,500, maturing on the 31st January, 1934;

  2. No. 1 Loan of the Borough of Eastbourne (No. 1 New Steamer) of £50,000, maturing on 1st July, 1952;

  3. New Steamer No. 2 of £8,500, maturing on 1st April, 1935;

  4. No. 3 Ferry Loan of £13,900, maturing on 1st September, 1934;

  5. Motor-omnibus Loan of £3,000, maturing on 14th January, 1947;

And also the interest and other charges on the unconverted securities issued in respect of such loans, the said Eastbourne Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of sixpence in the pound upon the rateable value (unimproved) of all rateable property of the Borough of Eastbourne, comprising the whole of the Borough of Eastbourne, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such securities and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year until the last maturity date of such securities, being the fifteenth day of December, 1958, or until all such securities are fully paid off.

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Eastbourne Borough Council held on Thursday, the 7th day of December, 1933.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the Stewart Island Fishing and Freezing Co., Ltd., the following resolution was confirmed:—

“That the above-named company be wound up voluntarily, and that J. E. CUTHILL be appointed Liquidator for the purposes of the winding-up.”

NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of section 230 and 252 of the Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of the members of the above-named company will be held at the Public Hall, Woodstock, on Wednesday, the 10th day of January, 1934, at 7.30 p.m., for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the assets of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidator shall be disposed of.
