Education Reserves in Hawke’s Bay Land District for Lease by Public Auction.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Napier, 5th November, 1933.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned education reserves will be offered for lease by public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, Napier, at 11 o’clock a.m., on Monday, 11th December, 1933, under the provisions of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, and the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908, and amendments.

SCHEDULE.
HAWKE’S BAY COUNTY.
Town of Westshore.
SECTION 37: Area, 1 rood: Upset annual rent, £2.
Section 51: Area, 1 rood. Upset annual rent, £2 10s.
Both sections are situated at Westshore. Section 37, which is suitable as a dwelling-site, lies at the intersection of Meeanee Quay and Tareha Street, facing the Inner Harbour; and Section 51, which is suitable for a sea-side cottage, fronts the beach, being bounded on the south side by Charles Street. Westshore is situated about four miles from Napier Post-office via the Railway Embankment, and is served by a regular bus service from Napier.

Settlement Land in Otago Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Dunedin, 7th November, 1933.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 11th December, 1933.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, on Wednesday, 13th December, 1933, at 10 a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.

SCHEDULE.
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.—SETTLEMENT LAND.
Clutha County.—Clifton Settlement.
SECTIONS 1s and 2s: Area, 566 acres. Capital value, £3,000; half-yearly rent, £75.
Weighted with £345 for improvements, comprising dwelling, cow-byre, hut, fencing, fruit-trees, approximately 20 acres oats and grass and 40 acres ploughed for turnips. This sum may be paid in cash, or arrangements made for £300 to remain on long-term mortgage, the balance, £45, to be paid as a deposit. This £45 includes £40 for 20 acres oats and grass and 40 acres ploughed.
A mixed farming property, subdivided into eleven paddocks, situated about five miles from the Main South Road (Balclutha—Clinton), about three miles of which is metalled road and about two miles clay road. Waiwera Post-office, School, and Railway-station about eight miles distant.
The property, which has a northerly aspect, consists of sharp faces lying towards the Molyneux River. The soil which is of good quality resting on clay and schist formation, is watered by river and streams. The altitude is about 350 ft. to 400 ft. and the property is a first-class agricultural and sheep-raising proposition. About 426 acres ploughable; approximately 160 acres good pasture, 20 acres oats and grass, and approximately 40 acres ploughed for turnips, balance mostly worn-out pasture. Rabbits have increased on the property during the last season.
