Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section twenty of the Mining Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby exempt the land particularly described in the Second Schedule hereto from the provisions of those sections of the Mining Act, 1926, mentioned in the First Schedule hereto, subject to all existing registered mining privileges, and do also hereby declare that such exemption shall take effect from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette.

FIRST SCHEDULE.
THE Mining Act, 1926, sections 70, 77, 81, 100, 106, and 144.

SECOND SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, containing approximately 1,146 acres 2 roods 23 perches: Bounded by a line commencing at a point on the western boundary-line of Section 2 of 4, Block II, Flora Survey District, distant 42 chains approximately from its north-western corner; thence southerly along the western boundary of the said Section 2 of 4 for a distance of approximately 40 chains; thence south-westerly and westerly for distances of approximately 35½ chains and 59 chains; thence north-westerly and northerly generally for distances of approximately 26½ chains, 16½ chains, 57½ chains, and 45 chains; thence north-easterly for a distance of approximately 23 chains; thence south-easterly for a distance of approximately 49 chains; and thence again south-easterly for a distance of approximately 105 chains, to the point of commencement. As the same is delineated on a plan marked N. 5/10, deposited in the Head Office of the Mines Department at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.
