NOTICE is hereby given that in accordance with the provisions of section 168, subsection (6), of the Companies Act, 1908, the members of the above company by special resolution on the 11th day of August, 1933, resolved as under:—

“That the company goes into voluntary liquidation, and that JOHN McLENNAN, of Napier, Public Accountant, be appointed Liquidator.”

THE NORTH AUCKLAND CO-OPERATIVE BOX COMPANY, LIMITED.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of THE NORTH AUCKLAND CO-OPERATIVE BOX COMPANY, LIMITED.

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company duly convened and held at Whangarei on the 22nd day of July, 1933, the following special resolution was duly passed, and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company duly convened and held at Whangarei on the 12th day of August, 1933, the following resolution was duly confirmed, viz.:—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908, and that Mr. JOSEPH MACKIE be hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the creditors of the above-named company are required on or before the 16th day of September, 1933, to send their names and addresses and the particulars of their debts or claims and the names and addresses of their solicitors (if any) to Mr. Joseph Mackie, of Walton Street, the Liquidator of the said company, and if so required by notice in writing from the said liquidator are personally or by their solicitors to come in and prove their said debts or claims at such time and place as shall be specified in such notice, or in default thereof they may be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts or claims are proved.

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for confirmation of the reduction of the capital of the above company from £75,000, divided into 75,000 shares of £1 each, to £37,500, divided into 75,000 shares of 10s. each, was on the 16th day of August, 1933, presented to the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Christchurch, and is now pending. After seven days from the date of publication of this notice the said petition will be proceeded with.

“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the shareholders that the company cannot by reason of its liabilities carry on business and that it be accordingly wound up voluntarily, and that JAMES MAWSON STEWART, of Christchurch, Public Accountant, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.”

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of SMITH BROS., LIMITED, a private company incorporated under the Companies Act, 1908, having its registered office at Ashburton, and there carrying on the business of Builders and Contractors.

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court (or subject to the supervision of the Supreme Court) was, on the 11th day of August, 1933, presented to The Honourable Mr. Justice MacGregor by Ernest Francis Smith, of Ashburton, Builder, a contributory of the said company. And the said petition is directed to be heard before a Judge of the said Court at Christchurch on Friday, the 1st day of September, 1933, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to oppose the making of an order for the winding-up of the said company under the above Act should appear at the time of hearing by himself or his counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same, by the undersigned, on payment of the regulated charge for the same.
