NOTICE OF CHANGE OF NAME.
I, TREVOR FORREST-BROWN, of Auckland, in the Dominion of New Zealand, Civil Servant, heretofore called and known by the name of “Trevor Brown,” do hereby give notice that I have assumed and intend henceforth upon all occasions and at all times to sign and use and be called and known by the surname of “Forrest-Brown” in lieu of and in substitution for my present surname of “Brown,” and that such intended change or assumption of name is formally declared and evidenced by a deed-poll under my hand dated this day and intended to be forthwith enrolled in the office of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Northern District, at Auckland.

OHURA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION INCREASING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and all other powers (if any) it hereunto enabling, the Ohura County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £11,000 authorized to be raised by the Ohura County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of re-forming, culverting, and metalling in the Harvey-Tokirima Special-rating District, and said Ohura County Council, pursuant to section 23 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, hereby increases to eightpence (8d.) in the pound sterling the special rate of threepence halfpenny (3½d.) in the pound sterling made and levied by resolution passed by the said Council on the 21st day of September, 1921, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 1921, on page 2545, on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Harvey-Tokirima Special-rating District in the County of Ohura, such rate of threepence halfpenny (3½d.) in the pound sterling being insufficient to provide for payments of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on such loan, and that such special rate (as increased) shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable half-yearly on the 14th day of February and the 14th day of August of each and every year during the currency of such loan, or until the loan is fully paid off.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waikato County Council proposes to execute a certain public work, to wit : · The formation of a road for which purpose the following lands require to be taken by the Waikato County Council under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, sections 22 and 23 (that is to say) :—
- All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing by admeasurement two acres one rood and four-tenths of a perch (more or less), being part of Allotment Number One hundred and seventy-eight of the Parish of Kirikiriroa: Bounded towards the north-east by other part of the said Allotment One hundred and seventy-eight, one thousand and fifty-seven and seven-tenths links and one thousand and forty-three and seven-tenths links; towards the south-west by a road fifty and two-tenths links and one hundred and thirty-nine and four-tenths links, and by other part of the said Allotment Number One hundred and seventy-eight, seven hundred and thirty-four and six-tenths links and one hundred and thirty-nine and three-tenths links ; towards the south-east by other part of the said Allotment Number One hundred and seventy-eight, fifty-five links;
again towards the south - west by a road fifty and five-hundredths links and fifty and five-hundredths links ; towards the north-west by other part of the said Allotment Number One hundred and seventy-eight, fifty-six and one-tenth links and one hundred and forty-three and four-tenths links ; again towards the south-west by other part of the said Allotment Number One hundred and seventy-eight, nine hundred and fifty-two and six-tenths links ; and again towards the north-west by Lot Thirty-seven on a plan deposited in the Land Transfer Office at Auckland under Number 4296, fifty-four and two-tenths links and fifty-four and two-tenths links.

All that piece or parcel of land in the said Provincial District, containing by admeasurement one rood thirty-five perches (more or less), being part of Lot Thirty-seven on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland under Number 4296, and being part of Allotment Number One hundred and seventy-seven of the Parish of Kirikiriroa : Bounded towards the north-east by other part of the said Lot Thirty-seven, four hundred and sixty-nine and eight-tenths links ; towards the south-east by Allotment Number One hundred and seventy-eight of the Parish of Kirikiriroa, fifty-four and two-tenths links and fifty-four and two-tenths links ; towards the south-west by other part of the said Lot Thirty-seven, four hundred and fifty-two and nine-tenths links and fourteen and seven-tenths links ; and towards the north-west by Lot Thirty-six on the said deposited plan Number 4296, fifty-one links and fifty-three and nine-tenths links.

All that piece or parcel of land in the said Provincial District, containing by admeasurement one rood six and five-tenths perches (more or less), being part of Lot Thirty-six on a deposited plan in the Land Registry Office at Auckland under Number 4296, and being part of Allotment Number One hundred and seventy-seven of the Parish of Kirikiriroa : Bounded towards the north-east by other part of the said Lot Thirty-six, four hundred and thirty-four and five-tenths links and fifteen and five-tenths links ; towards the south-east by Lot Thirty-seven on the said deposited plan Number 4296, fifty-three and nine-tenths links and fifty-one links ; towards the south-west by other part of the said Lot Thirty-six, forty-five and two-tenths links ; and by a road two hundred and fifty-two and six-tenths links ; and towards the north-west by Lot Thirty-five on the said deposited plan Number 4296, twenty-two links.

All that piece or parcel of land in the said Provincial District, containing by admeasurement seventeen and eight-tenths perches (more or less), being part of Lot Thirty-five on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland under Number 4296, being part of Allotment Number One hundred and seventy-seven of the Parish of Kirikiriroa : Bounded towards the south-east by other part of the said Lot Thirty-five, ninety-five and nine-tenths links and ninety-five and nine-tenths links ; towards the south-west by a road two hundred and eleven and one-tenth links ; and towards the north-west by a road one hundred and sixty-six and nine-tenths links.
A plan of the lands required to be taken as aforesaid is open for inspection at the office of the Waikato County Council, Grey Street, Hamilton East. All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-founded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands and to send such writing to the Waikato County Council within forty days from the date of the first publication of this notice.
