IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the Education Act, 1914, and all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct that the following books shall be added to the List of Class-books for Primary Schools authorized by Order in Council dated the tenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the thirteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, at page 3478.

Readers (for preparatory classes only): New Beacon Readers, Book 5 and Book 6 (Ginn and Co.).

Consenting to the Assignment to the Christchurch City Council by the Halswell County Council of its Rights, Powers, and Privileges under an Order in Council dated the second Day of June, 1919.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of any other power in anyway enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the assignment to the Christchurch City Council by the Halswell County Council of its rights, powers, and privileges under the Order in Council dated the second day of June, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twelfth day of the same month, authorizing the Halswell County Council to erect electric lines within portion of the Halswell County.

Directing the Sale of Land under the Public Works Act, 1928, in the Town of Fortrose.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the public work for which it was acquired.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land directed to be sold: 1 rood.

Being Section 14, Block II, Town of Fortrose.

In the Southland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 85421, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anyway enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become Government roads.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Rabbit Island Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 21st day of August, 1933.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928 (hereinafter termed "the said Act"), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke an Order in Council dated the twentieth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-ninth day of that month, appointing a Domain Board to have control of the Rabbit Island Domain, and doth hereby appoint

The Waimea County Council

to be the Rabbit Island Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of Part II. of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Friday, the eighth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, at two o'clock p.m., as the time when, and the offices of the Waimea County Council, Trafalgar Street, Nelson, as the place where, the first meeting of the said Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 365 acres, more or less, and being the following four parts of Rabbit Island, in Block II, Waimea Survey District :- All that area containing 22 acres 2 roods, bounded towards the south-west by a line 15 chains long and 15 chains distant from and parallel to high-water mark, the centre of the said line being the centre of the track which crosses the island in a north-easterly direction from a point opposite to the north-east corner of Rough Island; towards the north-west by a line at right angles to the south-west boundary, and 750 links from the centre thereof; towards the north-east by high-water mark; and towards the south-east by a line 15 chains distant from and parallel to the north-west boundary.
