Proclaiming Native Land to have become Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section four hundred and fifty-four of the Native Land Act, 1931, it is provided, inter alia, that on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1931, the Governor-General may issue a Proclamation that such land has become Crown land:
And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the said Act:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority so conferred upon me by section four hundred and fifty-four of the Native Land Act, 1931, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim that the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has become Crown land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section four hundred and fifty-four of the Native Land Act, 1931, it is provided, inter alia, that on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1931, the Governor-General may issue a Proclamation that such land has become Crown land:
And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the said Act:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority so conferred upon me by section four hundred and fifty-four of the Native Land Act, 1931, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim that the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has become Crown land.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land, containing 86 acres 2 roods 30 perches, more or less, being part of Orahiri 3B 1 Block, and the balance of the land comprised in Provisional Register, Vol. 47, folio 55, of the Auckland Land Registry.
All that parcel of land, containing 359 acres 1 rood 28 perches, more or less, being part of Orahiri 3c Block, and the balance of the land comprised in Provisional Register, Vol. 47, folio 53, of the Auckland Land Registry.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 15th day of August, 1933.

Prison proclaimed.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intitled the Prisons Act, 1908, it is provided that the Governor-General may, by Proclamation published in the Gazette, declare any house, building, enclosure, or place to be a prison, and from and after the gazetting of any such Proclamation, or from any time later specified in the Proclamation, such house, building, enclosure, or place shall be deemed a prison:
Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the above-recited power and authority, do hereby declare that the area of land described in the Schedule hereto, and all buildings and enclosures used or occupied thereon, shall, from and after the date of the publication of this Proclamation in the Gazette, be a prison known as the Dunedin Prison, within the meaning and for the purposes of the Prisons Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 roods 2-65 perches, more or less, being part of Reserve 3 and part of Section 37, Block XV, Town of Dunedin: Bounded towards the north-west by Dunbar Street, 237:22 links; towards the north-east by part of Reserve 3, 84:87 links; towards the south-east by said part of Reserve 3, 13:41 links ; again towards the north-east by said part of Reserve 3 and part Section 37, 214:37 links ; again towards the south-east by Castle Street and Lower High Street, 396:35 links; towards the south-west by part of Section 37, 61:2 links; again towards the south-east by said part of Section 37, 0:9 of a link; again towards the south-west by the said part of Section 37, 37:6 links; again towards the north-west by part of Reserve 3, 60:05 links; and again towards the south-west by said part of Reserve 3, 70:2 links, to the place of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.D. 1933/16/8, deposited in the office of the Controller-General of Prisons at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a street the land in the City of Auckland described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land proclaimed as a street:-

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plans marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
