IT is hereby notified that the undermentioned persons have
been appointed to be the Deputies of the Registrars of
Marriages and of Births and Deaths for the districts set
respectively opposite their names, viz.:

Hauraki Plains Drainage Area.—Notice of Intention to make
and levy Rates.

Department of Lands and Survey,
Wellington, 2nd August, 1933.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is intended, pursuant to
the Hauraki Plains Act, 1926, to make and levy, on
the unimproved value of all land within the district consti-
tuted under the said Act, the general rates to meet maintenance
costs for the period 1st April, 1933, to 31st March, 1934, as
described in the Schedule hereto.
The amount of such rates will be payable in one sum on the
25th August, 1933.
The valuation roll of the district is open for inspection at
the office of the Collector of Rates, Chief Drainage Engineer's
Office, Room 44, Government Buildings, Customs Street,
Auckland, and a copy of same may be inspected at the office
of the Chief Drainage Engineer, at Kerepeehi, at all times at
which those offices are open for the transaction of public
business.

SCHEDULE.

CLASS A : On the unimproved value of all land classified as
Class A by the appraiser appointed under the said Act,
twopence and seventy-three one-hundredths of a penny
(2.73d.) in the pound.
Class B : On the unimproved value of all lands so classified
as Class B, one penny and fifty-six one-hundredths of a
penny (1.56d.) in the pound.
Class C : On the unimproved value of all lands so classified
as Class C, thirty-nine one-hundredths of a penny (0.39d.)
in the pound.

Poukawa Drainage Area.—Notice of Intention to make and
levy General Rates.

Department of Lands and Survey,
Wellington, 1st August, 1933.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is intended, pursuant to
the Swamp Drainage Act, 1915, and its amendments,
to make and levy on the unimproved value of all land within
the Poukawa Drainage Area the general rates described in the
Schedule hereto, such rates being for the purpose of covering
for the period from the 1st day of April, 1933, to the 31st
day of March, 1934, the cost of administration of the said
Act, including the maintenance of works constructed under
that Act in the said area.
The amount of such rates (together with the annually
recurring special rates already made and levied) will be payable
in one sum on the 30th day of August, 1933.
The valuation roll of the area is open for inspection at the
office of the Collector of Rates, Lands and Survey Depart-
ment, Post Office Buildings, Napier, and may be inspected at
all times at which the office is open for the transaction of
public business.

SCHEDULE.

CLASS A : On the unimproved value of all land classified as
Class A by the person appointed to classify lands under
section 3 of the Swamp Drainage Amendment Act, 1928,
fourpence and thirty-one one-hundredths of a penny
(4.31d.) in the pound.
Class B : On the unimproved value of all land so classified
as Class B, seventy-two one-hundredths of a penny (0.72d.)
in the pound.
Class C : On the unimproved value of all land so classified as
Class C, fourteen one-hundredths of a penny (0.14d.) in
the pound.

Waihi Drainage Area.—Notice of Intention to make and levy
General Rates.

Wellington, 2nd August, 1933.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is intended, pursuant to
the Swamp Drainage Act, 1915, and its amendments,
to make and levy on the unimproved value of all land within
the Pukehina Subdivision of the Waihi Drainage Area con-
stituted under the said Act, the general rates described in the
First Schedule hereto, and on the unimproved value of all
land included in the Central Subdivision the general rate
described in the Second Schedule hereto, and on the unim-
proved value of all land in the Kaikokopu Subdivision the
general rates described in the Third Schedule hereto, such
respective rates being for the purpose of meeting maintenance
costs for the period 1st April, 1933, to 31st March, 1934.
The amount of such rates will be payable in one sum on
the 30th August, 1933, when the annually recurring special
rates already made and levied will also be payable.
The valuation roll and the rate-book of the district will be
open for inspection at the office of the Collector of Rates,
Chief Drainage Engineer's Office, Room 44, 1st Floor, Govern-
ment Buildings, Customs Street, Auckland, and copies of
same may be inspected at the office of Mr. H. W. Earp, Clerk,
Kaituna River Board, Te Puke, at all times at which those
offices are open for the transaction of public business.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

PUKEHINA SUBDIVISION.

CLASS A: On the unimproved value of all land classified as
Class A by the persons appointed to classify lands under
section 3 of the Swamp Drainage Amendment Act, 1928,
sevenpence and ninety-five one-hundredths of a penny
(7.95d.) in the pound.
Class C : On the unimproved value of all land so classified as
Class C, threepence and fifty-three one-hundredths of a
penny (3.53d.) in the pound.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

CENTRAL SUBDIVISION.

CLASS A: On the unimproved value of all land classified as
Class A by the persons appointed to classify lands under
section 3 of the Swamp Drainage Amendment Act, 1928,
fivepence and thirty-two one-hundredths of a penny (5.32d.)
in the pound.

THIRD SCHEDULE.

KAIKOKOPU SUBDIVISION.

CLASS A: On the unimproved value of all land classified as
Class A by the persons appointed to classify lands under
section 3 of the Swamp Drainage Amendment Act, 1928,
threepence and forty-five one-hundredths of a penny
(3.45d.) in the pound.
Class B : On the unimproved value of all land so classified
as Class B, twopence and sixty-eight one-hundredths of a
penny (2.68d.) in the pound.
Class C : On the unimproved value of all land so classified as
Class C, one penny and fifty-three one-hundredths of a
penny (1.53d.) in the pound.

NOTICE is hereby given, in accordance with the provisions
of subsection (2) of section 18 of the Surveyors Regis-
tration Act, 1928, that the following person has been registered
as a surveyor under the said Act.
The particular section of the Act under which the surveyor
is registered is shown under the heading of qualifications.
