Agreement for Grant of Right of Way in favour of Alice Maud Gill, of Whangamomona, Widow, and the Public Trustee (as Executor of Henry Gill, Deceased), over Land in Heao Survey District taken for the Stratford Main Trunk Railway assented to.

WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the 13th day of June, 1931, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 18th day of the same month, all that piece of land containing 2 acres 3 roods 34-2 perches, being part Section 11, Block II, Heao Survey District, was taken for the purposes of the Stratford Main Trunk Railway:

And whereas Alice Maud Gill, of Whangamomona, Widow, and the Public Trustee (as executor of Henry Gill, deceased), were entitled to compensation in respect of their leasehold interest in the said land:

And whereas the Minister of Public Works agreed to grant to the said Alice Maud Gill and the Public Trustee (as executor of Henry Gill, deceased), and their successors in title a right of way over the land described in the Schedule hereto as part satisfaction of the compensation aforesaid, and to provide a workman's cottage in satisfaction of the residue of the said compensation:

And whereas the said Alice Maud Gill and the Public Trustee (as executor of Henry Gill, deceased), agreed to accept such grant and a workman's cottage in satisfaction of the said compensation:

Now, therefore, I, John Bitchener, Minister of Public Works, do hereby give notice, in pursuance of section 97 of the Public Works Act, 1928, that I assent to the above agreement.

And I do hereby declare that this assent is issued in lieu of the assent to the agreement for grant of right of way in favour of Alice Maud Gill, of Whangamomona, Widow, and the Public Trustee (as executor of Henry Gill, deceased), over land in Heao Survey District taken for the Stratford Main Trunk Railway, published in New Zealand Gazette No. 28 of 27th April, 1933, at page 806, which contains certain inaccuracies and is hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land affected : 2 perches. Being railway land (part Section 11), Block II, Heao Survey District.

In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 85309, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

Prohibition of Issue of Money-orders and Transmission of Postal Correspondence.

THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, having reasonable ground for supposing that the persons and organizations whose names and addresses are shown in the Schedule hereunder are engaged in promoting or carrying out a lottery or scheme of chance, it is hereby ordered under section 32 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928, that no money-order in favour of the said persons or organizations shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to the said persons or organizations (either by their own or any fictitious or assumed names), or addressed to any of the addresses in the Schedule hereunder without a name, shall be either registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.

Notification of Vacancy of Seat in the House of Representatives for the Electoral District of Lyttelton.

IN compliance with the provisions of section 103 of the Electoral Act, 1927, I, Charles Ernest Statham, Speaker of the House of Representatives of New Zealand, hereby notify that James McCombs, a member of the House of Representatives for the Electoral District of Lyttelton, died on the 2nd day of August, 1933, during a recess of the House, and that the said seat in the House of Representatives for the said Electoral District is vacant by reason of such death.
