A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a street the land in the Borough of Whakatane described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby proclaim as closed the street described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

LAND PROCLAIMED AS A STREET.

All in the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 85829, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 29th day of July, 1933.

Stopping a Government Road in Block I, Waikohu Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as stopped the Government road described in the Schedule hereto, such road being no longer required.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road hereby stopped: 1 rood 20 perches.

Adjoining or passing through part Section 1, Otoko Village.

Situated in Block I, Waikohu Survey District (Gisborne R.D.). (S.O. 1419, brown.)

In the Gisborne Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 84288, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 28th day of July, 1933.

Amending Regulations relating to Goods-services within Controlled Areas under the Transport Licensing Act, 1931.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 25th day of July, 1933.

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. J. G. COATES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by section fifty-nine of the Transport Licensing Act, 1931 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following regulations by way of amendment to the Transport Licensing (Goods-services) Regulations, 1933 (hereinafter referred to as “the said regulations”), published in the Gazette of the twenty-seventh day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, at page 507.

REGULATIONS.

  1. These regulations may be cited as “The Transport Licensing (Goods-services) Regulations, 1933, Amendment No. 1.”

  2. Regulation 12 of the said regulations is hereby amended—

(1) By adding to clause (1) thereof the following paragraphs:—

“(c) On issue of every certified extract from the £ s. d. register of licenses . . . . . . 0 1 0
“(d) (1) Accompanying every appeal lodged with the Commissioner of Transport 3 0 0
“(2) To be paid not less than three clear days before the date fixed for hearing of the appeal if appeal not earlier withdrawn . . . . . . 2 0 0
“(e) For every subpoena issued by the Appeal Board . . . . . . 0 5 0
“(f) Accompanying every application for an amendment to a license under section 34 of the said Act (as applied in Part II of the Transport (Goods) Order, 1933) . . . . . . 0 10 0
“Provided that the said amount may, at the discretion of the Commissioner of Transport, be refunded if the application is withdrawn before it is considered by the Licensing Authority.”

(2) By adding thereto the following additional clauses:—

“(4) Failure to pay the fees or any of the fees prescribed by paragraph (d) of clause (1) of this regulation shall be deemed to be a determination of the appeal within the meaning of subsections (4) and (5) of section 43 of the said Act (as applied in Part II of the Transport (Goods) Order, 1933), as from the date the fee should have been paid.
“(5) For the purposes of this regulation ‘Transport (Goods) Order, 1933,’ means the provisions as to the regulation of goods-services made by Order in Council dated the 28th day of February, 1933, and published in the Gazette on the 23rd day of March, 1933, at page 478.”

(3) Regulation 14 of the said regulations and the Second Schedule thereto are hereby revoked.

Amending Order in Council of the 26th April, 1927, licensing John Edgar to use and occupy a Part of the Foreshore at “Bobs Cove,” Lake Wakatipu, as a Site for a Jetty.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 25th day of July, 1933.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twenty-sixth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, and published in the Gazette of the fifth day of the following month, at page 1373, John Edgar, of Queenstown, was licensed to occupy a part of the foreshore at “Bobs Cove,” Lake Wakatipu, as a site for a jetty, subject to the conditions set forth in the Schedule to the said Order in Council;

And whereas it is desirable to amend the said Order in Council in the manner hereinafter described :
