Redefining Boundaries of the Borough of Green Island, the County of Taieri, and the Kaikorai Riding of the County of Taieri.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 141 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the boundaries of the Borough of Green Island are hereby defined as set out in the First Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the said borough having been altered by Order in Council made under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, dated the 22nd day of May, 1933, and published in Gazette No. 41 of the 1st day of June, 1933.

And also, in pursuance of the provisions of the said section 141 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the boundaries of the County of Taieri affected by the said Order in Council are hereby defined as set out in the Second Schedule hereto.

And, in further pursuance of the provisions of the said section 141 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the boundaries of the Kaikorai Riding of the County of Taieri affected by the said Order in Council are hereby defined as set out in the Third Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE BOROUGH OF GREEN ISLAND.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District bounded by a line commencing at the junction of Edward Street and Gordon Street in the extension of the Township of Burnside; thence southerly along the western side of Gordon Street, 276 links; thence easterly across Gordon Street and along the southern boundary of Section 41, Block VI, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District, to Duke Street; thence along the southern side of Duke Street to Section 61, Block VI aforesaid; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of the last-mentioned section to its south-western corner; thence easterly along the southern boundary of that section, and north-easterly along its south-eastern boundary and the south-eastern boundary of Section 44, and part of the south-eastern boundary of Section 45, Block VI aforesaid, to the northernmost corner of Section 45, Lower Kaikorai District; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of Section 45, Block VI aforesaid, to its southernmost corner, and thence along the south-western boundary of Section 33, Lower Kaikorai District, to the Lower Kaikorai Road; thence across that road and along a right line bearing 117° 56' for a distance of 1197.8 links to the eastern boundary of Section 45, Block VI, Town District; thence along the eastern boundary of that section to the Main South Road; thence south-westerly along the north-western side of that road to the south-western side of Section 45 aforesaid; thence across that road and south-westerly generally along its south-eastern side to the north-eastern corner of Allotment 13, Township of Concord; along the eastern boundaries of Allotments 13 and 14, across Mulford Street, along the eastern boundary of Allotment 46 and the south-western boundaries of Allotments 46, 45, 44, 43, 42, 41, 40, and 39, Township of Concord, to Emerson Street, and along the eastern side of that street to a point in line with the south-western side of Thoreau Street; thence to and along the south-western side of that street to Allotment 63 of Section 1, Block XV, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District, and along the southern boundary of that allotment to the north-western boundary of the said Block XV; thence along that boundary to Cemetery Road; thence along the northern side of that road to Mill Road; thence along the north-western side of Mill Road to Brighton Road, and north-easterly along the south-eastern side of Brighton Road to the southern boundary of the fellmongery lease in Section 86, Lower Kaikorai District; thence across Brighton Road and along the southern boundary of the said lease to its westernmost corner; thence northerly along the western boundary of the said lease and across a right-of-way to the Walton Park Branch Railway Reserve; thence south-easterly along the southern side of the said railway reserve to and across Brighton Road; thence north-easterly to the northern side of the said reserve, across a road, and along the northern side of the said Walton Park Branch Railway Reserve to Abbot's Creek, along the eastern side of that creek to Section 60, Block VII, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District, and along the southern boundary of that section, crossing the Main South Road to the south-western corner of Allotment 15, Township of Abbotsford; thence along the south-western boundaries of Allotments 15, 16, 17, and 18, Township of Abbotsford, and the abutments of two roads to the north-western corner of the last-mentioned allotment; thence along the north-western boundaries of Allotments 18, 14, 10, and 5, across a road, and along the north-western boundary of railway reserve, 1223.5 links; thence along a right line to the westernmost corner of Allotment 3 of Section 60, Block VII, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District; thence along the north-western boundaries of Allotments 3 and 1 to North Taieri Road, across that road,

and along its eastern side to the north-western corner of Allotment 15, Abbotsford Extension, along the north-western boundaries of Allotments 15 and 16, the abutment of Alexander Street, and part of the north-western boundary of Allotment 45 to its intersection by a right line from the north-easternmost corner of Allotment 1 aforesaid to the westernmost corner of Allotment 45, Abbotshill Extension; thence to the westernmost corner of the said Allotment 45, and along the northern boundaries of Allotments 45, 44, 32, 31, and the abutments of two roads to Torquay Road; thence along the south-western side of Torquay Road to a point in line with the northern boundary of Allotment 1, Township of Plevna; thence easterly across Torquay Road, and along the northern boundaries of Allotments 1, 19, 20, 36, 37, 38, and across two streets to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned allotment; thence along the eastern boundaries of Allotments 38, 39, 40, 41, and 43, Township of Plevna, to a point in line with the southern side of Edward Street; thence to and along the southern side of that street to Gordon Road, the place of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE COUNTY OF TAIERI.

COMMENCING on the sea-coast at the mouth of the Taieri River, and bounded towards the south-west by the centre of the Taieri River to the south-west boundary of Block VI, Maungatua Survey District, and by that boundary to Waipori Lake; thence towards the north-west by Waipori Lake to the Waipori River and the centre of that river to the south-western corner of Block XV, Maungatua Survey District; thence towards the west by the eastern boundary of Blocks X, VIII, VI, Waipori District; thence towards the north by Block VI aforesaid to Trig. F; thence again towards the west by the eastern boundary of Blocks VI, III, and the production of that boundary, to Lee Stream; thence again towards the south-west by the centre of Lee Stream to its intersection with the south-west boundary of Section 24, Block III, Lee Stream Survey District, and Run 186A to a road intersection west of Trig. G; thence towards the east, south, and south-west by the pole track from Waipori on the dividing water-shed between Deep Stream and Lee Stream to a road intersection south of Trig. H in Run 353C; thence again towards the west by a dotted road-line running along the leading ridge to the Old Dunstan Road on the Lammermoor Ranges to Trig. N (Soutra Hill); thence again towards the north-west by a straight line to Trig. H (Summit Rock) and by a line running from Trig. H to a point on the south-eastern boundary of Run 204F in line with the production of the south-western boundary of Run 205E; thence towards the north-east by that line and the south-western boundary of Run 205E aforesaid to the Taieri River; thence again towards the north-east, to the south-western boundary of Section 1, Block III, Strath Taieri District, by a line running south-easterly to The Hummock; thence towards the north by the southern boundary of Section 1 aforesaid and Section 2, Block VI, Budle District, to a road-line; thence towards the east by that road-line forming the western boundary of Sections 21, 20, 19, 17, 16, 24, 15, and 14, Block VI aforesaid, and Section 2, Block I, Hummock Survey District, to the aforesaid line running from the Taieri River to The Hummock; thence again towards the north-east by that line to The Hummock; thence towards the east generally by the western boundary of Runs 171C, 171G, 171B, and Section 5, Block VIII, Silver Peak District; thence towards the north by a road-line forming the southern boundary of Section 5 aforesaid to the western boundary of Block IX, Silver Peak Survey District; thence again towards the east generally by the western and southern boundaries of Block IX and western boundary of Block VII and the production of that boundary-line to Silver Peak and a straight line to Swampy Hill; thence again towards the east generally by the City of Dunedin boundary as follows: By Sections 2 and 1, Block V, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District, across a road, Sections 8, 60, 77, across a road, Section 76, the abutment of a road, Sections 75, 45, 44, 43, 42, 41, 58, Block V aforesaid, Sections 66, 64, 62, 60, 58, 56, 54, 52, 53, 51, 17, 23, 25, across a road, Sections 27, 29, 30, by and across a road, Sections 28, 21, all of Wakari Survey District, Section 5, Block X, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District, across a road, and by that road to Section 58, Block VI, aforesaid district, Sections 58, 59, Block VI aforesaid, Section 129, Wakari Survey District, Sections 15, 16, 17, 18, Lower Kaikorai Survey District, to the Kaikorai Stream, by the right bank of that stream to Section 17 aforesaid, and that section to the boundary of Town Survey District, and by that boundary to Section 42, Block VI, aforesaid town district, and by the western boundary of that section to the Main South Road, easterly along the middle of that road, to and along the middle of the road which runs southerly intersecting Sections 39, 36, Block VI aforesaid, to and along the middle of Corstorphine Road to Section 101R, Ocean Beach Survey District, and the south-western boundary of Sections 101R, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, across
