to be an Inspector of Sea-fishing for the purposes of Part I of the first-mentioned Act.

Garnet Hercules Mackley, Esquire, is appointed Director of Railways, and is granted the honorary rank of Colonel. Dated 30th May, 1933.

COMMAND.

The period of command of Colonel H. C. Hurst, D.S.O., V.D., A.D.C., 3rd N.Z. Mounted Rifles Brigade, is extended to 31st May, 1934.

QUEEN ALEXANDRA'S (WELLINGTON WEST COAST) MOUNTED REGTS.

Lieutenant W. L. Rutherford, Regimental Supernumerary List, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 8. Dated 13th June, 1933.

2nd Lieutenant R. R. J. Jenkin, Regimental Supernumerary List, resigns his commission. Dated 22nd May, 1933.
Ngata Prosser Pitcaithly to be 2nd Lieutenant (on probation), and is posted to the 2nd Cadet Battalion. Dated 1st February, 1933.

THE NORTH AUCKLAND REGIMENT.

The undermentioned 2nd Lieutenants, 2nd Cadet Battalion, to be Lieutenants. Dated 15th July, 1932:
