KAWHIA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Kawhia County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and repayment of principal and other charges on a loan of £600, authorized to be raised by the Kawhia County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of metalling roads in the Te Maika Special Rating Area, the said Kawhia County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Te Maika Special Rating Area, comprising all that area described in the Schedule hereto, on the basis of the unimproved value, and that such special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.


SCHEDULE.

Te Maika Road Special Rating Area.

ALL that area of land situated in the South Auckland Land District: Bounded, commencing at the south-western corner of Section 1 B 6, Kinohaku West 1A, Block IV, Marakopa Survey District; thence along the western boundary of that section to the southern boundary of Lot 2 of Section 4, Block IV aforesaid; thence in a south-western direction along the southern boundary of the last-mentioned section to the south-western corner of the said section; thence in a northern direction along the western boundary to the north-western corner of the said Section 2; thence easterly and northerly along the northern and western boundaries of the said Section 2 to the southern boundary of Section 9, Block IV, Marakopa Survey District; thence in a western direction to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned section; thence northerly along the western boundary of that section to the southern corner of Section 8, Block III, Marakopa Survey District; thence along the western boundary of Section 8, Block III aforesaid, to the road forming the north-western boundary of the said Section 8; thence along that road in a north-eastern direction to the south-western corner of Section 9, Block III, Marakopa Survey District; thence along the north-eastern and eastern boundaries of Section 8, Block III, Marakopa Survey District, to its junction with the northern boundary of Section 9, Block IX, Marakopa Survey District; thence along the northern boundary of the said Section 9 to the Te Maika Road; thence northerly along the western side of the Te Maika Road, for a distance of approximately 20 chains, to a point opposite the north-western corner of Section 9, Block IX, Kawhia South Survey District; thence across the said road to the north-western corner of the said Section 9; thence along the northern and north-eastern boundaries of the said Section 9 to the north-eastern corner of the said Section 9; thence in a south-western direction, for a distance of approximately 8 chains, along the south-eastern boundary of the said Section 9, to a point opposite the northern corner of Section 10, Block IX, Kawhia South Survey District; thence across a road to the northern corner of the said Section 10; thence along the north-eastern boundary of the said Section 10 to the Hari Hari Main Stream; thence in a northerly direction along the said stream, forming the western boundary of Lot 3 of Section 2, Block IX, Kawhia South Survey District, to the north-western corner of said Lot 3; thence along the northern, north-eastern, southern, and south-eastern boundaries of the said Lot 3 to the eastern boundary of Lot 5 of Section 4, Block IX, Kawhia South Survey District; thence along the said boundary in a south-western direction to the easternmost corner of the said Lot 5; thence in a south-western, north-western, and again south-western, direction along the boundary of the said Lot 5 to the southernmost corner of the said Lot 5; thence in an eastern direction along the northern boundary of Lot 6 of Section 2, Block IX, Kawhia South Survey District, to the Marakopa Te Anga Road; thence across the said road and in a southerly direction along the eastern boundary of the said Lot 6, a distance of 15 chains; thence by a straight line in a westerly direction through the said Lot 6, for a distance of 20 chains, to the junction of the Te Maika and Marakopa - Te Anga Roads; thence across that junction and in a northerly direction along the Te Maika Road, for a distance of approximately 15 chains; thence in a generally western and northern direction along the southern and western boundaries of the said Lot 6 to the southern boundary of Section 1B 4, Kinohaku West 1A, Block IV, Marakopa Survey District; thence along the

southern boundaries of Section 1B 4 and 1B 6, Kinohaku West 1A, Block IV, Marakopa Survey District, to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned section, to the point of commencement.

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Kawhia was hereto affixed by order of the Council of the said County, on the 8th day of April, 1933, in the presence of—

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and its amendments, and in the matter of BOYLE BROTHERS, LIMITED, a company duly incorporated under the Companies Act, 1908, and having its registered office at Christchurch.

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of the above-named company (by the Supreme Court) was, on the 15th day of May, 1933, presented to Mr. Justice Blair, a Judge of the Supreme Court, by the South British Insurance Company, Limited, a duly incorporated company having its registered office at Auckland, New Zealand, and Henry John Otley, of Christchurch, New Zealand, Timber-merchant, Creditors, of the company; and the said petition is directed to be heard before a Judge of the said Court on the 2nd day of June, 1933, at 10.15 a.m., and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to oppose the making of an order for the winding-up of the said company under the above Act should appear at the time of hearing by himself, or his Counsel for that purpose, and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same by the undersigned on payment of the regulated charge for same.

HOSIERY PARLOURS, LIMITED.

IN LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of Hosiery Parlours, Limited.

AT a meeting of shareholders of the above company, held on the 10th day of May, 1933, the following resolution was passed:

"That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Harold Hugh Sykes, of Dunedin, Public Accountant, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up."

NOTICE is hereby given that the creditors of the above-named company are required, on or before the 15th day of June, 1933, to send their names and addresses and the particulars of their debts or claims, and the names and addresses of their solicitors (if any), to H. H. Sykes, P.O. Box 214, Dunedin, and if so required by notice in writing, are by their solicitors to come in and prove their said debts or claims, at such time and place as shall be specified in such notice, or in default thereof they will be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved.
