WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and its amendments, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of ninety-one thousand one hundred pounds (£91,000), to be known as the ‘Wellington City (Karori District) Water and Drainage Loan 1923 Renewal Loan 1933,’ authorized to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming the outstanding liability in respect of a loan of eighty-eight thousand pounds (£88,000), maturing on the 1st day of August, 1933, and paying the cost of raising the renewal loan, the said Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seventeen two-hundredths of a penny (17/200d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the City of Wellington, and that such special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years from the 1st day of August, 1933, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of ninety-eight thousand three hundred pounds (£98,300), to be known as the ‘Wellington City (Onslow District) Water and Drainage Loan 1923 Renewal Loan, 1933,’ authorized to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming the outstanding liability in respect of a loan of ninety-five thousand pounds (£95,000), maturing on the 1st day of August, 1933, and paying the cost of raising the renewal loan, the said Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of nineteen two-hundredths of a penny (19/200d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the City of Wellington, and that such special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years from the 1st day of August, 1933, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NEW ZEALAND FLAX MANUFACTURING COMPANY, LIMITED.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of New Zealand Flax Manufacturing Company, Limited (in Voluntary Liquidation).

NOTICE is hereby given that the creditors of the above company, which is being voluntarily wound up, are required on or before the 16th day of June, 1933, being the day fixed for that purpose by the undersigned, to send their names and addresses and the particulars of their debts or claims, and the names and addresses of their solicitors (if any), to EDMUND ALBERTUS FRETHEY, Liquidator of the above company, and, if so required by notice in writing from the Liquidator, are by their solicitors, to come in and prove their said debts and claims, at such time and place as shall be specified in such notice, or in default thereof they will be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of J. D. ROBERTS, LTD., a Private Limited Company, having its registered office at Premier Buildings, Durham Street East, Auckland.

NOTICE is hereby given that, by way of special resolution dated the 20th May, 1933, and passed in manner provided by subsection 6 of section 168 of the Companies Act, 1908, the members of the above-named company resolved as follows:—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that HECTOR YARDLEY CAMERON, of Auckland, Public Accountant, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.”

SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of £4 per annum, including postage, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. Single copies of the Gazette as follows:—

Ordinary Weekly Gazette: For the first 32 pages, 9d., increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or part thereof; postage, 1d.

Supplementary and Extraordinary Gazettes: For the first 8 pages, 6d.; over 8 pages and not exceeding 32 pages, 9d.; increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or part thereof; postage, 1d.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertion.

Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged 25s.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding publication.
