NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership hitherto subsisting between the undersigned, practising under the style or firm name of "Foden and Thompson," First Floor, Dominion Farmers' Institute, Wellington, has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 31st day of December, 1932, on the appointment of Mr. Henry James Thompson to the Secretaryship of the New Zealand Law Society and of the Wellington District Law Society.

The practice will, as from the 31st day of December, 1932, until further notice, be carried on at the above address by Mr. NORMAN ARTHUR FODEN on his own account under the style or firm name of "Foden and Thompson," Barristers and Solicitors.

FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Extract from the minutes of proceedings of the Franklin County Council at a meeting of such Council held on the 26th day of April, 1933.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Franklin County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

"That, for the purposes of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of four hundred and fifty pounds (£450), authorized to be raised by the Franklin County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling Lewis Road, Karaka, the said Franklin County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one half-penny ($\frac{1}{2}$d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Lewis Road (Karaka) Special Rating Area, being part of Karaka Riding of the County of Franklin, and being more particularly described in the Schedule hereto, and that such special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

NOTICE is hereby given that the above has assigned his estate for the benefit of his creditors by deed dated 5th April, 1933.

HAMILTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.

SECURITY RATE STREETS AND LIBRARY RENEWAL LOAN, 1933, £9,000.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Hamilton Borough Council hereby resolves that, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £9,000, authorized to be raised by the Hamilton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming the outstanding liability in respect of a loan of £10,000, part of a various (3) Works Loan of £80,000 maturing on the 1st June, 1933, and a loan of £400, being a Library 10 per Cent. Loan maturing on the 1st October, 1933, the said Hamilton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighth of a penny ($\frac{1}{8}$d.) in the pound on the rateable value (unimproved) of all rateable property in the Borough of Hamilton, as at the 31st day of March, 1933, and such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period not exceeding twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Hamilton Borough Council held on the 17th day of May, 1933.
