the Total Number of Members of the Council.

THE following special order, made by the Waikouaiti
Borough Council, is published in accordance with the
provisions of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920.

SPECIAL ORDER.

RESOLUTION : That, pursuant to the provisions of sections
142 and 144 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the
Waikouaiti Borough Council hereby resolves by special
resolution to operate as a special order that the total number
of members of the said Council, exclusive of the Mayor, shall
be seven (7) instead of nine (9) as at present, and hereby
further resolves that such reduction of members to seven (7)
shall take effect at and from the following biennial election
of councillors to be held on the first Wednesday in May, 1933.
I, ANDREW FELL, Mayor of the Borough of Waikouaiti, do
hereby certify that the above special order was advertised
once in each week for four weeks in the month of March, 1933,
in the Otago Daily Times, and was duly confirmed as a special
order by the Waikouaiti Borough Council at a meeting held
in the Borough Council Chambers, Main Road, Waikouaiti,
on Monday, the 27th day of March, 1933.
