HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Waitomo County Council stopping the portions of roads described in the Schedule hereto.

Cancelling the Reservation over a Reserve in Waiho Survey District, Westland Land District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 10th day of April, 1933.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby cancel the reservation as a reserve for commonage and resting-place for travelling stock over the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

RESERVE 338, Block XIII, Waiho Survey District: Area, 200 acres, more or less (described in Gazette, 1899, page 1216, as situated in Block XVI, Gillespie’s Survey District).

Constituting the Kiwitahi Rabbit District.—(Notice No. Ag. 3110.)

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 10th day of April, 1933.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section thirty of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, it is enacted that the Governor-General may, by Order in Council, on petition in that behalf signed by a majority of the persons qualified to be enrolled on the ratepayers’ list of any proposed district, constitute and declare any area of land of not less than one thousand acres a rabbit district under and for the purposes of Part II of the said Act:

And whereas, in pursuance of the provisions of the said section thirty of the said Act, a petition has been received praying that the area of land described in the Schedule hereto be constituted and declared a rabbit district under and for the purposes of Part II of the said Act, and it is deemed expedient to give effect to the prayer of the petitioners accordingly:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby constitute by the specific name of the “Kiwitahi Rabbit District,” and declare that area of land defined in the Schedule hereto to be a rabbit district under and for the purposes of Part II of the said Act; and doth hereby further declare that the basis on which the Board to be established for the said district shall first levy its general rate shall be on the basis of the acreage of the rateable property in the said district.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, in the Piako and Waikato Counties, bounded by a line, commencing at the Pukemoremore Trig. Station in Block I, Cambridge Survey District; thence in a northerly direction generally along the Confiscation Boundary Line to and across Griffin’s Road to the south-eastern corner of Lot 18 on Plan No. 2970, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland; thence along the northern side of Griffin’s Road to the Waitakaruru Stream; thence down the right bank of the Waitakaruru Stream to its confluence with the Topehaehae River; thence up the left bank of the Topehaehae River and the right bank of the Tonepi Stream to and across Starky’s Road; thence in a north-easterly direction generally along the southern side of Starky’s Road to and across Kiwitahi Road; thence along the north-western boundary of Te Au-o-Waikato No. 5B Block to and across the Morrinsville-Rotorua Railway, and again along Te Au-o-Waikato No. 5B Block to the Piakonui River; thence up the left bank of the Piakonui River and the south-eastern boundaries of Kiwitahi No. 1A, 1B, and 1C Blocks to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned block; thence in a westerly direction generally along the generally southern boundaries of Kiwitahi No. 1C Block, Te Au-o-Waikato No. 8 Block, and Kiwitahi No. 3B and No. 3C Blocks, to the southernmost corner of Tahuroa No. 2 Block; thence along a right line through Section 72S, Te Miro Settlement, to the north-eastern corner of Section 28S, Te Miro Settlement; thence along the northern and western boundaries of Section 28S, aforesaid, the western boundary of Section 33S, Te Miro Settlement, and the southern boundaries generally of Karokaro B, C, and A Blocks, to the point of commencement.
