NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned pastoral
run will be opened for license in terms of the Land
Act, 1924, and applications will be received at the District
Lands and Survey Office, Napier, up to 4 o'clock p.m., on
Monday, 13th February, 1933.
Applicants should appear personally before the Land Board
for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office,
Napier, on Thursday, 16th February, 1933, at 10 o'clock
a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be
examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner
of Crown Lands.
SCHEDULE.
HAWKE'S BAY LAND DISTRICT.—THIRD-CLASS LAND.
Hawke's Bay County.—Waitara Survey District.
PASTORAL Run No. 4 : Area, 3,880 acres. Pastoral license,
half-yearly rent, £15.
Weighted with £80 for improvements, consisting of whare,
woolshed, yards, and fencing, which must be paid for
in cash.
Term of lease, 35 years from 1st March, 1933. Immediate
possession will be given.
The land is situated on the Tutira-Ngatapa Road, and is
eighteen miles from the Tutira Post-office and School.
Watered by springs and permanent streams. Soil light loam
resting on pumice sand formation. Mostly hilly with table-
land tops and a few flats. Only suitable for grazing.

Education Reserve in Wellington Land District for lease by
Public Auction.
District Lands and Survey Office,

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned educa-
tion reserve will be offered for lease by public auction
at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, at 2 p.m.
on Wednesday, 22nd February, 1933, under the provisions
of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, and the Public Bodies'
Leases Act, 1908, and amendments.
SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—EDUCATION RESERVE.
Mauriceville County.—Kopuaranga Survey District.
SECTION 97, Block III : Area, 552 acres. Upset annual
rental, £250.
This section is situated twelve miles distant from either
Eketahuna or Mauriceville by good metalled road. Access
may be had from Eketahuna via Mangaoronga and Mangahao
Roads to Daggs Road on which this section fronts, or from
Mauriceville via Dyer's Rock Road to Ihuruau Road thence
to Daggs Road. Hilly to steep land on sandstone and papa
formation. The whole area is in grass of fair quality and
is subdivided into four paddocks, with the exception of two
acres in shelter bush.
The area is sweet warm grazing country. The improvements
consisting of felling and grassing are included in the capital
value of this property on which rent is assessed.
Improvements.—Improvements comprising 348 chains of
fencing, valued at £348, are to be paid for in cash on the fall
of the hammer.

Renewable Lease.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land is
open for selection on renewable lease under the Land
Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, and amend-
ments, and applications will be received at the District Lands
and Survey Office, Christchurch, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on
Friday, 10th February, 1933.
Applicants should appear personally before the Land Board
for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office,
Christchurch, on Tuesday, 14th February, 1933, at 10.30
o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may
be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner
of Crown Lands.
SCHEDULE.
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.—SETTLE-
MENT LAND.
Ashburton County.—Clunes Settlement.—Spaxton Survey
District.
SECTION 4, Block VII : Area, 10 acres. Capital value, £310.
Half-yearly rent, £7 15s. Loaded with the sum of £12 16s. 3d.
for improvements, comprising 9 chains boundary fencing of
seven wires and posts, and 7½ chains boundary fencing of
gorse, such amount to be paid in cash.
Part of the well-known Clunes Settlement and situated on
the West Coast Road, distant about one mile and a half from
Methven Railway-station, Post-office, and School by good
metalled road. Soil is medium loam on clay and shingle
formation, altitude 1,031 ft. above sea-level. All flat land in
worn-out pasture and twitch. Suitable for mixed farming
and as a worker's home.
Improvements included in the capital value comprise
7½ chains of road-boundary fencing valued at £3 16s. 3d.
Special Condition.—After payment of the required deposit
of the first half year's rent, £7 15s., and lease fee, £1 1s., a
remission of one year's rent will be granted subject to the
lessee cleaning up the land during the period of remission to
the satisfaction of the Land Board.
