A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of
every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in
this behalf, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and
declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby
taken for the purposes of a road ; and I do also declare that
this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-
seventh day of March, one thousand nine hundred and
thirty-three.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land taken :--

Situated in Block X, Kerikeri Survey District (Auckland
R.D.).

In the North Auckland Land District ; as the same are
more particularly delineated on the plans marked and coloured
as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Minister
of Public Works at Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 8th day of
March, 1933.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of
every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in
this behalf, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and
declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto
is hereby set apart for the purposes of a road, and I do also
hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on
and after the twenty-seventh day of March, one thousand
nine hundred and thirty-three.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of Crown land set apart :
4 acres 17 perches.
Being Crown land shown as Road Reserve on Certificate of
Title, Vol. 196, folio 39.

Situated in Block X, Kerikeri Survey District (Auckland
R.D.). (S.O. 27015.)

In the North Auckland Land District ; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 85124,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 8th day of

Altering Rates of Duty and Surtax on Ale, Beer, &c.β€”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 11th day
of March, 1933.

Present :

THE RIGHT HON. J. G. COATES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred on him by sections five and six of the Customs
Acts Amendment Act, 1932, and of all other powers and
authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby vary the British Pre-
ferential Tariff in relation to goods of the classes comprised
in the Tariff item numbered eighty-three (as set out in Part
II of the First Schedule to the Customs Acts Amendment Act,
1931), by directing that in lieu of the duty of Customs set out
in Part II aforesaid (so far as it relates to the British Pre-
ferential Tariff) there shall be imposed as part of the British
Preferential Tariff on goods of the classes comprised in the
aforesaid Tariff item eighty-three, being the produce or
manufacture of any part of the British Dominions, a duty of
Customs of two shillings per gallon, or for six reputed quart
bottles or the reputed equivalent in bottles of a larger or
smaller reputed capacity ; and doth hereby exempt from the
surtax imposed by section five of the Customs Acts Amend-
ment Act, 1930, goods of the classes comprised in the afore-
said Tariff item eighty-three, being the produce or manufacture
of those parts of the British dominions referred to in sub-
section two of section six of the Customs Acts Amendment
Act, 1932, and imported into New Zealand or entered therein
for home consumption after the day preceding the date of
coming into force of this Order.

This Order in Council shall come into force on and from the
date of publication of the same in the New Zealand Gazette.

Altering the Boundaries of Number Four and Number Six
Transport Districts under the Transport Licensing Act, 1931.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 11th day of
March, 1933.

Present :

THE RIGHT HON. J. G. COATES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by
section four of the Transport Licensing Act, 1931, His
Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth herebyβ€”

(1) Alter the boundaries of Number Four and Number Six
Transport Districts ;

(2) Declare that, as from the date of publication of this
Order in the Gazette, the boundaries of the said
respective districts shall be as set out in the Schedule
hereto.

SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF NUMBER FOUR TRANSPORT DISTRICT.

The boundaries of all that area situated within the boundaries
of the counties of Matakoao, Waiapu, Uawa, Waikohu, Cook,
Wairoa, Hawke's Bay, Waipawa, Waipukurau, Patangata,
Dannevirke, and Weber, including all boroughs and town
districts therein or contiguous thereto.

BOUNDARIES OF NUMBER SIX TRANSPORT DISTRICT.

The boundaries of all that area situated within the
boundaries of the counties of Kiwitea, Pohangina, Oruau,
Manawatu, Kairanga, Woodville, Pahiatua, Akito, Horo-
whenua, Eketahuna, Castlepoint, Mauriceville, Masterton,
Wairarapa South, Featherston, Hutt, and Makara, including
all boroughs and town districts therein or contiguous thereto
other than the City of Wellington.
