MERCHANDISE LIMITED.
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the
matter of MERCHANDISE LIMITED.
At an extraordinary general meeting of the members of
the above-named company duly convened and held at
the registered office of the company, at Cornwall Park Store,
on Tuesday, the 22nd day of November, 1932, the following
extraordinary resolution was duly passed:—
“That the company go into voluntary liquidation and that
ALGERNON INSTONE RAINBOW, Public Accountant, of Hastings,
be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of
such winding-up.”

COUNTY OF EGMONT.
SPECIAL ORDER DECLARING CERTAIN ROADS TO BE MAIN
ROADS.
In exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 131 (1) (c)
of the Counties Act, 1920, the Egmont County Council
hereby resolves by way of special order as follows:—
“(1) That the Okahu Road, from the Punoho Road to the
Kahui Road, and the Wareea-Newall Road from the Main South
Road, along the Wareea Road to its junction with the Newall
Road, thence along the latter road to the Okahu Road, be
declared main roads.
“(2) That the alteration hereby made shall take effect on
and after the 1st day of April, 1933.”
I HEREBY certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a special
order passed by the Council of the County of Egmont at a
properly convened special meeting of the said Council held
at the County Chambers, Opunake, on the 11th day of October,
1932, at 11 o’clock a.m., and which was duly confirmed at
a properly convened ordinary monthly meeting of the said
Council held at the County Chambers, Opunake, on the
13th day of December, 1932, at 11 o’clock a.m.

AUCKLAND TOILET SALONS, LIMITED.
IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the
matter of AUCKLAND TOILET SALONS, LIMITED (in
Voluntary Liquidation).
Notice is hereby given that Auckland Toilet Salons,
Limited, passed the following resolution for the
winding-up of the company by entry in its minute-book signed
by all the shareholders of the company under date the 14th
day of December, 1932:—
“That it is proved to the satisfaction of the company
that it cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business,
and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and that the
company be wound up accordingly, and that for the purpose
of such winding-up FREDERICK WILLIAM PACKER, of Auckland,
Company-manager, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator.”

KAMO TOWN BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
Extract of the Minutes of a Special Meeting of the Kamo
Town Board held in the Board’s Office on Friday, 9th
December, 1932, at 7.25 p.m.
At a special meeting of the Kamo Town Board, held in the
Board’s Office, on Friday, 9th December, at 7.25 p.m.,
for the purpose of confirming a special order authorizing the
loan of £2,050, that was passed at a special meeting of the
Board held on Friday, the 11th November, 1932, Councillor
McInnes moved that:—
In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all
other powers (if any) it thereto enabling the Kamo Town
Board hereby resolves as follows: That for the purpose of
providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other
charges on the Kamo Town Board No. 1 Electricity Redemp-
tion Loan of £2,050, 1932, authorized to be raised by the
Kamo Town Board under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of redeeming the Kamo Town Board Electric Lighting
Loan of £20,700, 1922, the said Board hereby makes and levies
a special rate of one and thirteen-twentieths (1 and 13/20ths)
of a penny in the pound sterling on all rateable value (on the
basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the
Special-rating Area within the Kamo Town District contained
within the following boundaries: Commencing at the inter-
section of the Whangarei-Kamo Railway line with the
southern boundary of the Kamo Town District; thence
following the said boundary of the Kamo Town District in a
north-westerly direction generally to the intersection of the
said boundary with the Whangarei-Kamo Railway line; thence
following the said Whangarei-Kamo Railway line in a
south-easterly direction generally to the intersection of the
said railway-line with the southern boundary of the Kamo
Town District, the point of commencement. And that such
special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the
currency of such loan, and payable yearly on the first of
September in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of sixteen (16) years, or until the
loan is fully paid off.
Seconded by Councillor Woods and carried.

affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the
Kamo Town Board in the presence of—

IN LIQUIDATION.
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the
matter of THE MECCA, LIMITED (in Liquidation).
Notice is hereby given, in pursuance of section 230 of
the Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of
members of the above-named company will be held at my
office, 38 Moorhouse Avenue, Christchurch, on Tuesday, the
10th day of January, 1933, at 7.45 p.m., for the purpose of
having an account laid before them showing the manner in
which the winding-up has been conducted and the property
of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation
that may be given by the Liquidator, and also of determining
by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books,
accounts, and documents of the company, and of the Liquida-
tor thereof, and the surplus funds (if any) in the hands of the
Liquidator, shall be disposed of.

WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE AND STOP ROAD.
In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928.
Notice is hereby given that the Waitomo County
Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-
mentioned Act, to execute a certain public work—namely,
the formation of a road; and for the purpose of such public
work the lands described in the First Schedule hereto are
required to be taken; and, further, that it is proposed to
stop as a public road the lands described in the Second
Schedule hereto. And notice is hereby further given that
plans of the lands so required to be taken and stopped are
deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Council,
situated in Taupiri Street, Te Kuiti, and are open for inspection
without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking and stopping of such lands who have
any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said
public work or to the taking and stopping of the said lands,
must state their objections in writing and send the same
within forty days from the first publication of this notice—
namely, on or before the 25th day of January, 1933—to the
County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Taupiri Street, Te
Kuiti.
