FIRST SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of each of the parcels of land required to be taken: 1·6 perches and 2 roods 26·6 perches, being portions of Section 5, coloured red on plan 26868; 15·4 perches, being portion of Section 6, coloured blue on plan 26868. All in Block XVI, Maungamangero Survey District:

And situated in the County of Waitomo in the Registration District of Auckland, and as the said parcels of land are more particularly delineated on the plan stated.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of each of the portions of road required to be closed: 1 acre 0 roods 22·2 perches, adjoining Puketiti No. 5G No. 2, and Sections 5 and 6; 15 perches, adjoining Section 5; 3·4 perches, adjoining Section 6. All in Block XVI, Maungamangero Survey District, and coloured green on plan 26868:

And situated in the County of Waitomo in the Registration District of Auckland, and as the said parcels of land are more particularly delineated on the plan stated.

WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waitomo County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, to execute a certain public work—namely, the erection of a worker’s dwelling; and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Council, situated in Taupiri Street, Te Kuiti, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice—namely, on or before the 25th day of January, 1933—to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Taupiri Street, Te Kuiti.

IN LIQUIDATION.

Extraordinary Meeting.

AT an extraordinary meeting of shareholders of Australian and New Zealand Investments, Limited, duly convened and held at the office of Frederick T. Smythe, Consulting Accountant, 247 George Street, Sydney, on Wednesday, the seventh day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, the subjoined extraordinary resolution was duly passed:—

“ That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the meeting that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily, and that FREDERICK THOMAS SMYTHE, of Sydney, Public Accountant, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”

AT an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of the Belmont Quarry Company, Limited, held on the 9th instant, the following resolution was unanimously passed and later confirmed:—

“ That the Belmont Quarry Company, Limited, go into voluntary liquidation, and that LEONARD HENRY ALLEN be and is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”

THE NAPIER BOROUGH COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LANDS FOR A NEW STREET AND FOR OR IN CONNECTION WITH WIDENING STREETS.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928, the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the Town-planning Act, 1926, the Hawke’s Bay Earthquake Act, 1931, and the respective amendments to the said Acts, the Napier Town-planning Regulations, 1931, and the regulations issued under the said Acts and any amendments thereof, respectively.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Napier Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts and regulations, to execute certain public works—namely, the laying-out of a new street, the widening of certain streets, and the acquisition of certain lands for or in connection with or for purposes consequential upon the widening of the said streets and/or for the purposes of disposition by sale, exchange, lease, or otherwise: and that the lands described in the First Schedule hereto are required to be taken for the purposes of public streets: and further that the lands described in the Second Schedule hereto are required to be taken for or in connection with or for purposes consequential upon the widening of the said streets and/or for the purposes of disposition by sale, exchange, lease, or otherwise.

Notice is further given that plans of the lands required to be taken for the purposes aforesaid are deposited in the Borough Council Chambers, Tennyson Street, Napier, and are open for inspection by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public works or by the taking of the said lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public works or to the taking of the said lands must set forth their objections in writing and send the same on or before the 31st day of January, 1933, being a date not less than forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at the Borough Council Chambers, Tennyson Street, Napier.
