  1. The salaries of principals of separate intermediate schools of various grades shall be those set out in Schedule C hereunder without any addition to salary corresponding to that provided in clause 5 of the regulations for staffs and salaries in public schools.

  1. In addition to the salary prescribed in Schedule C hereof, there shall be paid a house allowance at the rate of £60 per annum to each married principal for whom a residence is not provided.

  2. The principal of a secondary, technical, or combined school to which is attached an intermediate department shall receive in addition to the salary prescribed for the secondary, technical, or combined school the sum of £50 per annum when the roll number of the intermediate department places it in Grade IV, £60 if it is in Grade V, £70 for Grade VI, and so on by increments of £10 for each grade.

  3. (1) The salary of the headmaster of a district high school which consists of only an intermediate department and a secondary department shall be assessed in accordance with the grade of the intermediate department in the same manner as if such department were a separate intermediate school, and such salary shall be increased by the additional salary provided in column (4) of Schedule III of clause 4 of the regulations for staffs and salaries in public schools, together with a house-allowance at the rate of £60 per annum in the case of a married headmaster for whom a residence is not provided.

(2) The salary provided herein shall not be increased by the additions to salary corresponding to those provided for in clause 5 of the regulations for staffs and salaries in public schools.

  1. (1) A married assistant shall receive by way of addition to the salary provided by these regulations the sum of £50 per annum under the same conditions as are prescribed under the regulations for the salaries of public-school teachers.

(2) Every assistant teacher in an intermediate school or intermediate department who is appointed in accordance with the provisions of these regulations, shall, in addition to the salary provided for in the aforesaid clause, receive such additions to salary as are provided for in clause 5 of the regulations for staffs and salaries in public schools.
