And whereas it is now expedient that the said road should be proclaimed as a public road :

Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section four hundred and eighty-seven of the Native Land Act, 1931, do hereby proclaim as a public road the road described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land proclaimed as a road :—

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/2059, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2605, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 30th day of November, 1932.

Boundaries of Otaki River District altered.—Borough of Otaki and County of Horowhenua.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 7th day of December, 1932.

Present :

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on him by section four of the River Boards Amendment Act, 1913, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby alter the boundaries of the Otaki River District by including in the said district the land described in the First Schedule hereto, and doth declare that the boundaries of the said district shall be those set forth in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

AREA INCLUDED IN THE OTAKI RIVER DISTRICT.

All that area in the Wellington Land District containing 1,975 acres, more or less, being portion of the Otaki Borough, and adjacent portions of the Horowhenua County, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the northern side of the Rahui Road, being the south-eastern corner of Lot 44 on plan 1429, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington; thence in a north-westerly direction following the northern side of the Rahui Road to its intersection with the North Island Main Trunk Railway line; thence generally in a south-westerly and westerly direction following the existing boundary of the Otaki River District as described in New Zealand Gazette No. 4 of the 15th January, 1923, page 13), to the north-western corner of Tawaroa No. 1 Block; thence in a north-easterly direction by the production of the north-western boundary of the said Tawaroa No. 1 Block across the old course of the Otaki River to the boundary of the Otaki Borough as described in New Zealand Gazette No. 38 of the 2nd June, 1927, page 1941; thence generally in a south-westerly, westerly, north-easterly, and easterly direction, following the boundary of the said Otaki Borough to a point in the middle of the Waitohu Stream in line with the south-eastern boundary of the Taumanuka Block; thence in a southerly direction by a right line to the north-eastern corner of the said Taumanuka Block; thence generally in an easterly direction by the southern bank of the Waitohu Stream to the southern boundary of Topaatekaahu 1, No. 2 Block; thence in a south-easterly direction along the southern boundaries of Subdivisions 2, 4, and 1 of the Topaatekaahu No. 1 Block, and along the south-western boundary of the Karetii Block and part of the northern boundary and the eastern boundary of Pukekaraka No. C Block to the junction of the said eastern boundary with a private right-of-way running along the north-eastern boundaries of Subdivisions 5, 4, and 3 of Pukekaraka No. 4a Block; thence in a north-westerly direction along the said right-of-way to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Subdivision 2 of the said Pukekaraka No. 4a Block; thence in a southerly direction across the right-of-way to and by the said eastern boundary and the eastern boundary of Pukekaraka No. 4a Block to the northern boundary of Pukekaraka No. 5 Block, being a point on the boundary of the Otaki Borough as described aforesaid; thence generally in a south-easterly direction following the boundary of the said Otaki Borough to the North Island Main Trunk Railway line; thence in a north-easterly direction across the said railway-line and the main road to the south-western corner of Lot 59 on plan 1429 deposited as aforesaid; thence in a northerly direction along the eastern side of the main road to the north-western corner of the said Lot 59; thence in a south-easterly direction along the north-eastern boundaries of the said Lot 59 and Lots 55, 52, 48, 47, 46, 45, and 44 of plan 1429, deposited as aforesaid, to the easternmost corner of the last-mentioned lot; and thence in a south-westerly direction along the eastern boundary of the said Lot 44 to the south-eastern corner thereof, being a point on the northern side of the Rahui Road, the place of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

OTAKI RIVER DISTRICT.

All that area in the Wellington Land District containing 5,797 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the easternmost corner of Section 10, Block IV, Kaitawa Survey District; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundaries of said Section 10, Block IV, and Waihoanga No. 4a to and across the Otaki River to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 30, Block III, Kaitawa Survey District; thence along the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 30 and 29, Block III aforesaid, to the south-eastern boundary of Section 28, Block III aforesaid; thence along the south-eastern boundary of Section 28 to a public road; thence north-westerly and northerly along that road to its intersection with Hautere Road at the southernmost corner of Wairarapa No. 1 Block; thence south-westerly along Hautere Road to the western boundary of Waha-o-te-Marangai No. 1c Block; thence northerly along that boundary to Addington Road; thence westerly and north-westerly along Addington Road to and across the North Island Main Trunk Railway to its intersection with the main highway to Wellington; thence southerly along the main highway to its junction with the road (Pahiko Road) intersecting Lot 6, D.P. 3285; thence westerly along that road to the western boundary of Part Lot 3, D.P. 3285; thence north-easterly along that boundary to the southern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 3285; thence westerly along that boundary to Te Waka Road; thence south-westerly along Te Waka Road to the drain intersecting Lot 2, D.P. 1940; thence westerly along that drain and the southern boundaries of Section 21, Tuahiwi No. 2 and Ngakaro 3c 5a to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned block; thence along the western boundary of Ngakaro 3c 5a to the north-western boundary of Tuahiwi No. 42; thence along the north-western boundaries of Tuahiwi No. 42 and Tuahiwi No. 2 to the southern boundary of Reke-reke No. 5 Block; thence along the southern boundaries of Rekereke No. 5 and Rekereke No. 18 Blocks to the Otaki River; thence down the Otaki River to the south-western boundary of Tawaroa No. 1 Block; thence along the south-western boundary of Tawaroa No. 1 Block aforesaid to its north-western corner; thence to and along the northern side of the old course of the Otaki River to the Rangiru Creek; thence along the eastern side of that creek to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Taumanuka 3t Block; thence across the said Rangiru Creek to and along the south-western boundary of Taumanuka 3t Block to the sea; thence along high-water mark of the sea to the mouth of the Waitohu Stream; thence up the middle of the Waitohu Stream to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of the Taumanuka Block; thence in a southerly direction by a right line to the north-eastern corner of the said Taumanuka Block; thence generally in an easterly direction along the southern bank of the Waitohu Stream to the southern boundary of Topaatekaahu 1 No. 2 Block; thence in a south-easterly direction along the southern boundaries of Subdivisions 2, 4, and 1 of the Topaatekaahu No. 1 Block and along the south-western boundary of the Karetii Block and part of the northern boundary and the eastern boundary of Pukekaraka No. C Block to the junction of the said eastern boundary with a private right-of-way running along the north-eastern boundaries of Subdivisions 5, 4, and 3, of Pukekaraka No. 4a Block; thence in a north-westerly direction along the said right-of-way to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Subdivision 2 of the said Pukekaraka No. 4a Block; thence in a southerly
