This license does not authorize the holder thereof to take
or kill red deer stags or hinds on lands actually and exclusively
used by any registered acclimatization society for acclimatiza-
tion purposes, or on any sanctuary or public domain, nor does
it authorize the holder thereof to enter any State forest for the
purpose of taking or killing red deer stags and hinds without
the consent of the Conservator of Forests,

Riding Boundaries.

I THE following special order, made by the Hobson County
Council, is published in accordance with the provisions
of the Counties Act, 1920.
Pursuant to section 100 of that Act, as amended by section 3
of the Counties Amendment Act, 1921-22, I hereby fix the
31st day of March, 1932, as the date from which such special
order shall take effect.

HOBSON COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER.
Altering the Boundaries of the Kaihu, Awakino, Tangowahine,
and Maungaru Ridings.
RESOLUTION.
In exercise and pursuance of the powers conferred on it by
section 23 of the Counties Act, 1920, and of every other
power enabling it in that behalf, the Hobson County Council
hereby resolves by way of special order as follows :-

  1. That the Kaihu, Awakino, Tangowahine, and Maungaru
    Ridings of the Hobson County be altered as described here-
    under:-
  2. That Section 4, Block VII, Kaihu Survey District, be
    excluded from the Awakino Riding and be included in the
    Kaihu Riding.
  3. That Section 5, Pekepekerau Subdivision, Block XIII,
    Mangakahia Survey District, be excluded from the Tango-
    wahine Riding and be included in the Maungaru Riding.
  4. That part Maungaru Block L.T.P. 12499 (267 acres
    3 roods 8 perches), and part Maungaru Block L.T.P. 18234
    (188 acres 0 roods 3 perches), and part Maungaru Block
    L.T.P. 22896 (878 acres 2 roods 8 perches), all in Block II,
    Maungaru Survey District, be excluded from the Maungaru
    Riding, and be included in the Tangowahine Riding; also
    that part Section 4, part Section 9, part Section 10, part
    Section 11, all of Sections 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, all of the
    Tangowahine Settlement, Block X, Maungaru Survey District,
    be excluded from the Maungaru Riding and be included in the
    Tangowahine Riding.
  5. That the boundaries of the said Kaihu, Awakino, Tango-
    wahine, and Maungaru Ridings be so altered as to give effect
    to above resolution ; the amended boundaries to be shown as
    in the Schedule hereunder.
    SCHEDULE.
    Kaihu Riding.
    COMMENCING at the high-water mark at the south-western
    corner of Section 13 (Scenic Reserve), Block I, Kai-Iwi Survey
    District, and bounded towards the north generally by the
    said Section 13, Section 12, Block I, Kai-Iwi Survey District,
    the Taharoa-Maunganui Block, to and across a public road,
    and again by that block ; thence by Sections 19, K.G.L. 125,
    and again by Section 19 to and across a public road, and
    again by the last-mentioned section, and by Sections 21 and
    22, all of Block I, Kaihu Survey District ; thence by the
    south-eastern boundary of Lot I of the Opanake No. 2F
    Block as shown on L.T. plan 15092, deposited at the office
    of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, and by that
    boundary produced to and across the Kaihu Valley railway,
    a public road, and Section 6, Block II, Kaihu Survey District,
    to the Kaihu River, and by that river to a point in line with
    the south-eastern boundary of Subdivision II, Opanake
    No. 1c South Block, by a crossing of the said Kaihu River,
    the aforementioned Kaihu Valley railway, and a public road
    to the south-eastern corner of the said Subdivision II ; thence
    by the southern and eastern boundaries of that subdivision
    and by Subdivision 8, Opanake No. 1c North Block, to the
    south-western corner of Section 12, Provisional State Forest
    Reserve, Block XIV, Tutamoe Survey District, and by the
    southern and eastern boundaries of the last-mentioned
    section to the south-western corner of Forest Reserve (Climatic)
    in Block XV, Tutamoe Survey District, and by the southern
    boundary of that reserve to the western boundary of Block
    XVI, Tutamoe Survey District; thence towards the east
    generally by the last-mentioned block boundary to the north-
    western corner of Section 13, Block IV, Kaihu Survey District,
    by the western boundary of the said Section 13, and the
    north-western boundary of Section 12 of the last-mentioned
    block to and across a public road, the Awakino Stream, and
    a public road forming the eastern boundary of Section 17,
    Block IV, Kaihu Survey District ; thence by that road to
    and across a public road and by the road forming the northern
    boundary of Section 16, and part Section 2, Kairara School-
    site, as shown on L.T. plan No. 18721, deposited as aforesaid,
    to the north-western corner of the aforementioned Section
    16 ; thence by the western boundary of that section and
    Sections 18 and 4, Block IV, Kaihu Survey District, to the
    Waimata Settlement boundary, and by that boundary to
    the north-western corner of Subdivision B 4, Waimata No. 1
    Block ; thence by that subdivision and Subdivision B 5 of
    the same block, and Lot 7, Waimata No. 2 Block, as shown
    on L.T. plan No. 20132, deposited as aforesaid, to the north-
    eastern corner of Lot 23, Kaihu No. 2B Block, as shown on
    L.T. plan No. 10667, deposited as aforesaid, and by the
    said Lot 23 to and across a public road, and by the northern
    and western boundaries of Lot 29 of the last-mentioned block
    and plan to the Rotu Stream ; thence by that stream and the
    Kaihu River to the Dargaville Borough boundary as described
    in New Zealand Gazette, No. 38, of the 14th May, 1908, page
    1360 ; thence towards the south generally by the said borough
    boundary to the north-eastern corner of Lot 11, being part
    Aoroa Block as shown on L.T. plan No. 16181, deposited as
    aforesaid, and by the northern boundary of the said Lot 11,
    another subdivision of part Aoroa Block, subdivision of part
    Aoroa Block, as shown on L.T. plan No. 13281, deposited as
    aforesaid, and another subdivision part Aoroa Block to the
    sea ; thence towards the west generally by the sea to the
    point of commencement.
    Tangowahine Riding.
    Commencing at the north-eastern corner of Section 5,
    Block X, Tutamoe Survey District, on the Whangarei County
    boundary, as described in New Zealand Gazette, No. 66, of
    the 25th September, 1930, page 2824, and bounded towards
    the north generally by the said county boundary to the
    south-western corner of Section 8A, Block X, Mangakahia
    Survey District ; thence towards the east generally by
    Provisional State Forest Reserve, Block XIV, Mangakahia
    Survey District, as described in New Zealand Gazette, No. 58,
    of the 3rd August, 1922, page 1921, and Section 1, State
    Forest Reserve, of the aforementioned block and district to
    and across a public road, and by the north-western and
    south-western boundaries of Section 5, Block XIII, Manga-
    kahia Survey District ; thence by the western boundaries
    of Sections 9, 10, and 11, Block XIV, Mangakahia Survey
    District ; thence by the western boundary of a subdivision
    of the Maungaru Block as shown on L.T. plan No. 7328,
    deposited at the office of the District Land Registrar, at
    Auckland ; thence by the western boundaries of Lots 4, 5, 6,
    and 7, Maungaru Block as shown on L.T. plan No. 7394,
    deposited as aforesaid ; thence by part of the western boundary
    of Lot 4, Maungaru Block, as shown on L.T. plan No. 14460
    deposited as aforesaid ; thence by the northern boundary of
    part Lot 2, Maungaru Block, being the boundary of the
    residue of the land on L.T. plan No. 8703, deposited as afore-
    said, after deducting that part of Lot 2 as shown on L.T.
    plan No. 22896, deposited as aforesaid ; thence by the western
    boundary of the aforementioned part Lot 2, the western
    boundary of Section 1, Block VI, Maungaru Survey District,
    and again by the said part Lot 2, to and across a public road,
    and by the western and southern boundaries of a subdivision
    of Maungaru Block as shown on L.T. plan No. 19932, deposited
    as aforesaid ; thence by the western and southern boundaries
    of Section 15s, Tangowahine Settlement, to and across a
    railway reserve and by a river-bank reserve to the Wairoa
    River ; thence towards the south generally by the said river
    to the Te Omu Stream ; thence towards the west generally
    by the said stream to the eastern boundary of subdivision
    part No. 3 Ounuwhao Block, and by that boundary and the
    eastern and northern boundaries of subdivision part No. 3
