NOTICE is hereby given, in accordance with the provisions of subsection (2) of section 18 of the Surveyors Registration Act, 1928, that the following persons have been registered as surveyors under the said Act.
The particular section of the Act under which the surveyors are registered is shown under the heading of qualifications.

Open Seasons for Red Deer Shooting in Portions of North Canterbury, Southland, Wellington, and Westland Acclimatization Districts.
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921-22, I, Adam Hamilton, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the period from the 1st day of March, 1932, to the 30th day of April, 1932 (both days inclusive), to be an open season in those portions of the North Canterbury, Southland, and Westland Acclimatization Districts described in the First, Second, and Third Schedules hereto respectively, and the period from the 15th day of March, 1932, to the 15th day of May, 1932 (both days inclusive), to be an open season in those portions of the Wellington Acclimatization District described in the Fourth Schedule hereto, for the taking or killing of the following imported game—viz., red deer stags and hinds—subject to the following conditions.
CONDITIONS.
(1) Licenses to take or kill red deer stags and hinds may be issued as follows:—
(a) For the area described in the First Schedule hereto, by the Secretary of the North Canterbury Acclimatization Society on payment of a license fee of £5.
(b) For the area described in the Second Schedule hereto by the Chief Postmaster at Invercargill on the recommendation of the Secretary of the Southland Acclimatization Society on payment of a license fee of £1 ls.
(c) For the area described in the Third Schedule hereto, by the Postmaster at Hokitika on the recommendation of the Secretary of the Westland Acclimatization Society on payment of a license fee of £5.
(d) For the area described in the Fourth Schedule hereto by the Secretary of the Wellington Acclimatization Society on payment of a license fee of £1.
Such licenses shall be generally in the form prescribed in the Fifth Schedule hereto, and shall be subject to the said Act and the regulations thereunder and to this notification.

No licensee shall allow any dog to accompany either himself or any attendant he may have with him.

Nothing in any license to take or kill red deer stags and hinds shall authorize the holder thereof to take or kill red deer stags or hinds on lands actually and exclusively used by any registered acclimatization society for acclimatization purposes or on any sanctuary or public domain, nor shall authorize the holder thereof to enter any State forest for the purpose of taking or killing red deer stags or hinds without the consent of the Conservator of Forests at Christchurch, Invercargill, Hokitika, or Palmerston North (as the case may require) first had and obtained.

Any person committing a breach of any of these conditions is liable, on conviction, to a fine of £20.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
Rakaia Gorge Deer Forest.
THE watershed of the Rakaia River and tributaries on the north side of the main stream from Lake Coleridge to the main alpine range.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the shore of South Fiord, Lake Te Anau, due north of Mount Maury; thence easterly and southerly generally along the shore of Lake Te Anau to the Waiau River; thence down that river to Lake Manapouri; thence by Lake Manapouri to the Waiau River; thence down the Waiau River to its confluence with the Monowai River; thence up the Monowai River to a point due north of Dean Hill; thence by a right line to Dean Hill; thence by a right line passing through Oblong Hill to the shore of Lake Hauroko; thence by Lake Hauroko to the Wairaurahiri River; thence down that river to a point due west of Blue Cliff (Te Waewae Bay); thence by a right line to the sea-coast at Blue Cliff; thence by the sea to Preservation Inlet; thence by Preservation Inlet and Long Sound to Richard Burn; thence by a right line to the summit of the watershed between Longburn and Princess Burn; thence by a right line to Cone Peak; thence by a right line passing through End Peak to Lake Hauroko; thence across Lake Hauroko to the western watershed of Hauroko Burn; thence by that watershed to the summit of the Merrie Range; thence by a right line to Vincent Peak; thence by a right line to Mount Memphis; thence by a line due north to the Spey River and down the Spey River to the western arm of Lake Manapouri; thence by the western and northern arms of Lake Manapouri to Freeman Burn; thence by Freeman Burn to its source; thence by a right line to Mount Maury; thence by a right line due north to the shore of South Fiord, Lake Te Anau, the point of commencement.
THIRD SCHEDULE.
ALL that area comprised in the Westland Acclimatization District known as the Haast, Wills, and Landsborough Valleys, and the Okuru Block, South Westland, excluding therefrom the area known as Run 87 held by Mr. J. C. Nicholls.
FOURTH SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing from Pahautanui; thence in a northerly direction on the main road to Paekakariki; thence following the railway-line to the bridge crossing the Manawatu River at Longburn; thence following the south-east bank of the Manawatu River to the west side of the Manawatu Gorge; thence following the south bank of the Manawatu River to Ngaparuru Bridge; thence following the Woodville-Welling-ton railway-line south to Featherston; thence following the main highway from Featherston to Trentham; thence following the Moonshine Road to Pahautanui, the point of commencement.
Mangaraki, Puketoi Block: All that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing at Martin-borough; thence in an easterly direction along the Martin-borough-Hinakura Road to Hinakura; thence in an easterly direction along the north bank of the Pahaoa River to the sea-coast; thence in a northerly direction to the Waimata Stream; thence in a westerly direction along the boundary of the Wellington Provincial District to the Ngaparuru Bridge, crossing the Manawatu River; thence following the railway-line south to Opake; thence following the east side of the Ruamahunga River to Martinborough, the point of commencement.
Ruahine, Kaimanawa Block: All that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing at Mangaweka following the Main Trunk Railway line north to Taihape; thence following the Wellington Acclimatization District boundary east, then north to the most northern portion, then west along the district boundary to the Rangitikei River; thence following the district boundary south to the summit of the Ruahine Range; thence south along the summit of the Ruahine Range to the boundary of the Wellington and Feilding Acclimatization Districts; thence following the Paurangahaki Stream to its junction with the Kawhatau River; thence following the Kawhatau River to its junction with the Rangitikei River; thence following the Rangitikei River to Mangaweka, the point of commencement.
FIFTH SCHEDULE.
License to take or kill Imported Game (Deer).
