WAIPUKURAU BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.

THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in
it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act,
1926, the Waipukurau Borough Council hereby resolves as
follows:—

That for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £900, authorized to be raised by the
Waipukurau Borough Council under the provisions of the
Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and the Hawke’s Bay Earth-
quake Act, 1931, for repairs to the Municipal Theatre and
stage scenery caused by the earthquake, the said Waipukurau
Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
15/100ths (fifteen one-hundredths) of a penny in the pound
upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough
of Waipukurau, on the basis of the unimproved value, and that
such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st
day of August in each and every year during the currency of
the loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan
is fully paid off.

AN extraordinary general meeting of Victoria Investments,
Ltd., was held at the registered office of the company,
1st Floor, Lister Building, Victoria Street, Auckland, on
Thursday, 27th October, 1932, and the following resolution
was proposed and carried unanimously:—

“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the com-
pany that it cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its
business and that it is advisable to wind up the same.
Further, that LEONARD WESLEY SWAN, Public Accountant,
of Auckland, be hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose
of such winding-up.”
