BOROUGH OF OTAHUHU.


RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.


IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Otahuhu Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £4,250 authorized to be raised by the Otahuhu Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming the outstanding liability in respect of a loan of £4,850, maturing on the 23rd day of October, 1932, the said Otahuhu Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 27/132nds (twenty-seven one hundred and thirty-two seconds) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the Borough of Otahuhu; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

BIRKENHEAD BOROUGH COUNCIL.


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.


IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Birkenhead Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £5,230 authorized to be raised by the Birkenhead Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of augmenting and extending water reticulation in the borough, the said Birkenhead Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of nineteen sixty-fourths of a penny (19/64d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the district of the Borough of Birkenhead, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 30 years from the 20th December, 1928, or until the loan is fully paid off.

FEATHERSTON COUNTY COUNCIL.


NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.


In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and in the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Featherston County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the construction of a public road along and near to the foreshore of Palliser Bay in the Featherston County; and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken:

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the Public Office of the Clerk to the said council situate at Kitchener Street, Martinborough, and is open to inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands, must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers.
