IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and its Amendments, and in the matter of BRITISH ELECTRIC SIGNS COMPANY, LIMITED.

NOTICE is hereby given that an entry dated the 15th day of September, 1932, has been made in the minute-book of the said company and signed by all the members of the company, as follows :—
“ (a) That it is proved to the satisfaction of the company that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and that accordingly the company be wound up voluntarily ;
“ (b) That DAVID ALEXANDER PRENTICE, of Wellington, Company Manager, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the COMMERCIAL BANK OF AUSTRALIA, LIMITED, proposes temporarily to remove during renovations from premises situated at No. 6 Wellesley Street, Auckland, to premises situated at Nos. 62–64 Queen Street, Auckland, from 5th to 19th October, 1932, inclusive, and that from the latter date the business will again be transacted at premises situated at No. 6 Wellesley Street, Auckland.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned HARRY PASSEY PIESSE and GEORGE BLAVIER PIESSE under the style and name of “Piesse Brothers,” of Christchurch, Builders, has been dissolved as from the 1st day of September, 1932, by mutual consent, and the said George Blavier Piesse now ceases to have any interest in the said business.

Any debts owing by or to the said firm or the said partners in relation thereto will be discharged or received (as the case may be) by the said Harry Passey Piesse, who will continue to carry on the business as the sole proprietor thereof under the style and name of “H. P. Piesse,” Builder, Christchurch.

THE creditors of the above-named company are required on or before the 31st day of October, 1932, to send their names and addresses and the particulars of their debts or claims and the names and addresses of their solicitors (if any) to SAMUEL TANSLEY, Esquire, the Official Liquidator of the said company, whose office is at the A.M.P. Building, Customhouse Quay, Wellington, and, if so required by notice in writing from the said Official Liquidator, are by their solicitors to come in and prove their said debts or claims at the Registrar’s Office in the Supreme Courthouse at Wellington at such times as shall be specified in such notice, or in default thereof they will be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved.

Friday the 16th day of December, 1932, at 10.30 o’clock in the forenoon, at the Registrar’s said office, is appointed for hearing and adjudicating upon the debts and claims.

THE SOUTH TARANAKI ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers, if any, it thereunto enabling, the South Taranaki Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :—
That for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £40,000 authorized to be raised by the South Taranaki Electric-power Board under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and the Local Legislation Act, 1931, section 31, for the purpose of supplying and distributing electric energy for the benefit of all that area of land being part of the area included in the South Taranaki Electric-power District by a Proclamation dated the 27th day of January, 1931, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 1931, No. 9, page 214, comprising part of the County of Hawera and part of the County of Patea : bounded by a line commencing at the mouth of the Tangahoe Stream ; thence in a northerly direction along the eastern boundary of the said power district as originally defined by Proclamation dated the 24th April, 1925, and published in New Zealand Gazette, 1925, No. 27, page 1129, to the Eltham County Boundary ; thence in a north-easterly direction along said county boundary to the Confiscation Line ; thence along the Confiscation Line in a south-easterly direction to the eastern boundary of Block 15 Ngaiere Survey District ; thence by said eastern boundary in a southerly direction to the northern boundary of Block 3, Hawera Survey District, and by that boundary in an easterly direction to the Morea Road ; thence in a south-westerly direction along the eastern boundary of the said Block 3 to the Kiritae Stream ; thence along said stream in a south-easterly direction to the Mere Mere Road ; thence in a north-easterly direction along said road to the western boundary of section 19, Block 8, Hawera Survey District, and along that boundary to the Otoki Stream ; thence by that stream in a southerly direction to the northern boundary of Block 12, Hawera Survey District, and along such northern boundary of said Block 12 to its eastern boundary, and along the same in a southerly direction to the boundary of the Hawera and Patea Counties ; thence in a north-easterly direction along such county boundary to the Tarere Road ; thence in a south-easterly direction along said road to the Ball Road ; thence south-easterly along the Ball Road to the south-western boundary of Section 12, Block 10, Opaku Survey District ; thence in a south-easterly direction along said boundary to the Patea River ; thence in a southerly direction along said river to northern boundary of Section 11, Block 14, Opaku Survey District ; thence in an easterly direction by said boundary to the Whenuakura River ; thence in a southerly direction along said river to northern boundary of Section 3, Block 15, Opaku Survey District ; thence in an easterly direction along said boundary to Okahutiria Road ; thence in a northerly direction along said road to the northern boundary of Section 458, Patea District, and by that boundary in an easterly direction to Okotuku Road ; thence in a south-easterly direction along said road to the Wellington–Taranaki provincial boundary-line ; thence in a south-westerly direction along said boundary to the Whenuakura River and along that river to the sea ; thence along the sea-coast to the point of commencement at the mouth of the Tangahoe Stream ; but excluding the Borough of Patea, the boundaries whereof are defined in New Zealand Gazette of 1882, page 124 (such area having been defined by a resolution of the Board on the 21st day of August, 1931), and for such purpose to do all or any of such matters and things as the Board is empowered to do by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and its amendments, and in particular but without limiting in any way any of the aforesaid powers, to provide, erect, construct, and improve in the said defined area a system of electric distribution and reticulation, and additions and extensions to the Board’s present system of electric distribution and reticulation, and
