Special Order made by the Ngaroto Drainage Board subdividing its District and fixing the Representation therefor.

THE following special order, made by the Ngaroto Drainage Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Land Drainage Act, 1908, and amendments.

SPECIAL ORDER.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by section 16 of the Land Drainage Act, 1908, and section 2 of the Land Drainage Amendment Act, 1920, and of every other power it thereto enabling the Ngaroto Drainage Board hereby resolves by way of special order as follows:—

  1. On and after the 1st day of August, 1932, the Ngaroto Drainage District shall be divided into two subdivisions to be known as the Ohaupo Subdivision and the Paterangi Subdivision.
  2. The said subdivisions shall comprise—

OHAUPO SUBDIVISION.

All that area in the Ngaroto Drainage District bounded by a line commencing at the northern corner of Allotment 282 of the Parish of Ngaroto in a southerly direction by the western side of the Great South Main Highway forming the eastern boundary of Allotments 282, 281, 280, 279, 278, 277, and 276 of the said Parish of Ngaroto to the south-east corner of the said Allotment 276; thence westerly by the southern boundary of the said Allotment 276 to the eastern side of the North Island Main Trunk Railway Line; thence across that line to the south-eastern corner of Allotment 286B of the said parish; thence by a straight line through the said Allotment 286B to the north-western corner of the said allotment; thence westerly by the southern boundary of Allotment 285 of the said parish to a lake forming the western boundary of the said Allotment 285; thence northerly and westerly by the eastern and northern boundaries of the lake to its intersection with the eastern boundary of the land contained in Certificate of Title, Vol. 17, folio 87, Auckland Registry, being the western portion of the said Allotment 285; thence northerly by the said eastern boundary to its intersection with the southern side of the Paterangi-Ohaupo Road; thence easterly by the southern side of such road, being the northern boundary of Allotments 285, 284, 283, and 282 of the Parish of Ngaroto to the northern corner of the said Allotment 282, the place of commencement.

PATERANGI SUBDIVISION.

All the remainder of the Ngaroto Drainage District.
3. The number of trustees to be elected for each subdivision shall be as follows:—
Ohaupo Subdivision . . . . One trustee.
Paterangi Subdivision . . . . Four trustees.

Prohibition of Issue of Money-orders and Transmission of Postal Correspondence in New Zealand for M. Lisman, Sydney.

THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, having reasonable ground for supposing that the person whose name and address are shown in the Schedule hereunder is engaged in promoting or carrying out a lottery or scheme of chance, it is hereby ordered, under section 32 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928, that no money-order in favour of the said person shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to the said person (either by his or her own or any fictitious or assumed name), or addressed to the address in the Schedule hereunder without a name, shall be either registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries.—Borough of Timaru.

Wellington, 4th August, 1932.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be excluded from the County of Levels and included in the Borough of Timaru. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration of boundaries which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

AREA PROPOSED TO BE EXCLUDED FROM THE COUNTY OF LEVELS AND INCLUDED IN THE BOROUGH OF TIMARU.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the south-western boundary of the Borough of Timaru with the north-western side of Chaucer Street; thence south-westerly along the north-western side of Chaucer Street to Hill View Road; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern side of Hill View Road, crossing Otipua Avenue, to the westernmost corner of Lot 4 on plan 4173, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Christchurch; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundary of Lots 4 and 3 on said plan 4173 to the northernmost corner of the said Lot 3; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of Lot 2 on plan 4088, deposited as aforesaid, to the westernmost corner of the last-mentioned lot; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundary of Lot 2 aforesaid to its intersection with the south-western boundary of the Borough of Timaru; thence south-easterly along that boundary to the north-western side of Chaucer Street, the point of commencement.

Additional Sitting of Supreme Court appointed.

WE, four of the Judges of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers vested in us by the Judicature Act, 1908, hereby appoint that a sitting of the Supreme Court for the trial of criminal and civil cases and causes under the Divorce and Matrimonial Causes Act, 1928, shall be held at the Supreme Court at Westport, in the Westland Judicial District, commencing at 10.30 a.m. on the 7th day of September, 1932. Such sitting shall be in addition to the sittings appointed on the 19th day of October, 1931, to be held during the year 1932, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 26th day of November, 1931, at page 3401.
