A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-fifth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two.

Amending Regulations under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 5th day of July, 1932.
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend in the manner set forth in the Schedule hereto the regulations under the said Act (hereinafter referred to as “the said regulations”) made on the eighth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, and published in the Gazette of the eighteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six.
SCHEDULE.
PARAGRAPH (a) of clause 40 of the said regulations is hereby revoked, and the following paragraph inserted in lieu thereof:—
“40. (a) If the mortgagor (not being in arrears with any previous instalment or other payment due for any advance made under any part of those regulations) pays an instalment on or before its due date; or, in the case of an advance granted in respect of a dwellinghouse, not later than fourteen days thereafter; or, in the case of an advance granted in respect of rural land, within one month after the due date of such instalment, he shall be entitled to a rebate of one-tenth of so much thereof as consists of interest: Provided that, in the case of an advance in respect of a dwellinghouse, if the Commissioner of Crown Lands is satisfied that the mortgagor is dependent upon a war pension to enable him to pay his instalment in full, the Commissioner may, in his discretion and subject to compliance with other conditions, allow the rebate if the instalment is paid within twenty-five days after due date.”

Consenting to the Assignment to the Wanaka Hotel, Limited, by Hugh Smith Glass, of His Rights, Powers, and Privileges under the Order in Council dated the 1st February, 1924.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 5th day of July, 1932.
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1928, and clause twenty-seven of the Electrical Supply Regulations, 1927, published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twelfth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the assignment to the Wanaka Hotel, Limited, by Hugh Smith Glass, of his rights, powers, and privileges under the Order in Council dated the first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the seventh day of the same month, authorizing him to use water from a stream situated in Section 4, Block XLII, Town of Pembroke, for the purpose of generating electricity, and to erect, maintain, and use electric lines within the Town of Pembroke.
